Republican leaders who worry that Donald Trump could hurt their midterm chances by announcing a presidential run too soon are hoping he'll be dissuaded from doing so by the prospect of losing hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal payments, according to an RNC official. But an RNC official told ABC News that as soon as Trump would announce he is running for president, the payments would stop because the party has a "neutrality policy" that prohibits it from taking sides in the presidential primary.

Don’t know that this will mean a great deal to Donald Trump, but if they take neutrality in an election, then why do they even belong to a party? Sounds stupid to me.
I agree!
I stopped donating to them in 2005 when the Republicans in the Senate caved on the filibuster of judicial nominee.
>>Note to RNC you stop paying President Trumps legal bills a fair amount of donations are likely to dry up<<
Uh, people still donate to the RNC? I used to send back their mailings with a penny taped inside with a message...go back to conservative values.
Hell, I won’t even send a penny these days. lol
The RNC obviously has a political death wish .... okay by me. We don’t send any money to the RNC .... they’ll be in a donation desert if they get uglier about/with Trump than they already are.

That’s what the Precinct Project/Strategy is for. Local precinct leaders elect county leaders who elect state leaders who elect the national leaders. This whole backend GOP has a LOT of power. They hold the purse strings. They decide who’s the official GOP primary candidate that gets the GOP/RNC $$$$$ backing.
Get yourself a district/local position and vote for county MAGA types who will vote for state MAGA types.
Elections are every two years, not four, not six. It’s the fastest way to fix things.
Yang and Whitman from NJ are forming a third party. Forward is the name. Anti Trumpers and libs who don’t want Biden. It will help Trump.
RNC = Trans Dems
Note to RNC, I will not donate one red cent to you as long as you insist on stabbing President Trump in the back.
You can etch that in granite.
I do not give money to the RNC. When they call I tell them I do not want my money going to the likes of Cheney or Romney. They then hang up.
“Which RNC official. We need names.”
That statement did not get placed in the public forum without the express approval of Willard “Pierre Delecto” Romney’s niece and RNC Chairwoman RONNA McDANIEL.
RIDICULOUS HEADLINE
I wish to hell that he would. The RNC needs to hit the scrap heap of history. Sooner rather than later.
“The party has a “neutrality policy”
BS. No they don’t. They hate Trump and his hundred million voters/supporters
I’m pretty sure he can afford to pay his own legal bills.
As for me, I won’t give the RNC one red cent. I’ll donate to individual candidates, but not to the RNC.
Soooooo... after he wins the primaries they would start paying again?
That’s if you believe they didn’t make the statement up. I’m fed up with the anonymous leaks. Either say who told them or I will automatically presume it’s made up.
.
The Republican Senate did nothing in regard to James and Hunter Biden for 1,460 days!
If they regain power, they say they’ll investigate stuff that’s much older now.
Lies, of course.
If it is paying any Trump legal bills now, what is the legal basis and commitment for that, and how does his running again negate that basis??
It sounds to me that the RNC rationale is not truly what they claim it is.
How many U.S. Senatorial and House races has the RNC donated to in the primaries??? If any, then isn’t that a total lack of “neutrality”
