Ukraine is losing heavily from conflict with Russia
Gulf Today ^ | 7/23/22 | Michael Jansen

Posted on 07/23/2022 1:34:59 PM PDT by JonPreston

The biggest loser is Ukraine itself. Towns and villages have been destroyed, thousands of civilians and soldiers have been killed or wounded, four million civilians have become refugees, six million are internally displaced, the country’s farmland and manufacturing plant have been devastated, and its economy has been wrecked. The damage and destruction inflicted on Ukrainian infrastructure is estimated at $60 billion at this point.

Having stoked the fires of war, Biden and Johnson are also losers. Despite his engagement in Ukraine’s war effort, Biden’s overall approval rating has sunk to 38 per cent with 53 per cent disapproving of his performance. Only 35 per cent approve his handling of the economy – which is beset with a rising cost of living due to inflation and higher petrol prices – and a mere 40 per cent approve of his conduct in the Ukraine war, with 49 per cent disapproving.

it seems Putin has damaged the USA more than UKR. Add up all the crap the Brandon blames on Putin (supply chain, gas, inflation, food shortages), I think we are the bigger loser.

The only people who think that the problems in the USA are caused by Putin's invasion of Ukraine are the fools who fall for the CNN propaganda. All of the problems you list are a direct result of US government policies. Inflation is the obvious result of the government mailing out money to everyone and creating endless stimulus dollars in the Federal Reserve.

Supply chain issues are due to the idiotic policy of shipping factories overseas to China followed by uniparty politicians and elite business leaders for years.

High gas prices started before Putin's war and are the direct result of US government policy under the Democrats.

You still buy in to the Russian propaganda? Why?

It saddens me that so many putative conservatives here at Free Republic are so apathetic when it comes to authoritarian regimes invading European countries and annexing territory.

ME, TOO! I'm saddened by the fools who believe that we (US) did not goad Russia into this special military operation as a way to start a proxy with the Ruskies.

Like all the other attempted regime changes in the past (Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan), this one is not working so well either. Is it?

This was eloquently explained by E. Pluribus Unum in post 3 above, as noted here.......

Putin won't live long enough to be hanged by the court.

Exactly what kind of make believe world do you live in? If Obama, Madeleine Albright, both Clintons, Biden and most members of our congress don't qualify for such treatment, Putin is safe.

I understand your post as saying the Ukraine is the illegitimate birth child of a filthy Congress.

Put down the bong. It is too early in the day to be that stoned.

Well, that’s a truckload of bollocks.

“Russia is the last obstacle to their plans of global domination” - er, NO. Russia is a state so riddled with corruption and substandard education that it has been practically irrelevant for 20 years.

The ascendancies are elsewhere in BRICS. India, China, and Brazil.

If Mikhael Khordokovsky hadn’t convinced Putin of the merits of embracing the internet age and having a cyber industry, and if <1000 oligarchs hadn’t looted the country blind before throwing their money into western investments, Russia would literally be an irrelevant third world state relying on 40 year old rusting ex-Soviet military surplus to remain relevant on the world stage.

It is a country that’s literally got nothing going for it except revanchism.

End all of the boomeranging suicide sanctions and make deals that ensure the free flow of fuel, fertilizer, and food.

Western countries have been eager to import feral savages but not eager to import civilized Europeans.

Don’t worry. Good ole Uncle Joe will rebuild their country as long as he gets a 10% kickback. The rubber stamp, warmongering GOPe will go along with it.

NO. Russia is a state so riddled with corruption and substandard education that it has been practically irrelevant for 20 years.

Are so really sure about that?

Let's see...

-lanuched first satellite into space
-launched the first man in space
-#3 in the world oil production
-sent our astronauts into space for years when we could not get them of the ground
-#1 wheat exporter in the world
-winning in Ukraine special military operation against everything the US & NATO can throw at them

That's the short list.

Go back to school. You don't know what you are talking about.

It was never about winning. It was about the stealing of $100B in untraceable foreign aid by the globalist elites.

The destruction of the dollar AND the attack on our food supply is about stealing the wealth of the middle class and returning us to the status of serfs, like in the middle ages. So far, the elites seem to be having great success.

As it turns out, Zeepers can not connect dots.

I would’ve expected they could… being this is a conservative site.

But no. Use the word “Russia” or “Putin” and the look for a corrupt globalist to line up with…

And all because homo-erotic dancer Zelensky believed Biden & NATO would protect him from Russia invasion, even if he was pushing for NATO membership. Russia had warned him for years to not push for NATO membership on it’s border.

Maybe we can delegate the 376 cops from Uvalde to go arrest Putin and his army.
