"that dark money pit called Amtrak"

Fyi, passenger rail has ALWAYS been a state subsidized operation. People always want windows, seats, heat, bathrooms, food access, smooth rides, and other such expensive fripperies.

Starting in 1850, passenger rail was financed by the US Post Office. When that ended, so did rail travel. By then, however, there were private automobiles, and a nationwide paved road and fueling network.

Look it up. The Commies always like to lie about how the car companies killed passenger rail, when it was actually Capitalist market pressure.

My SIL (a leftie immigration lawyer) called me “closed-minded” because I said that it was a shame kids were brainwashed into believing this man-made climate bullsh1t.

So I’m closed-minded.

But this week she and her family are off on a fun-filled trip to Italy and other parts of Europe.

They will be there until the end of the month, when they will fly back in a great big airplane.

I am closed-minded. What should I call her?

Suggestions please. Remember, she is my wife’s sister.

Aside from the young and gullible like Gretta, nobody believes the doom sayer nonsense, including those promoting it. They do so for advantage and virtue signaling. They applaud a frightened indoctrinated girl like Gretta screaming “how dare you” to society because they like feeling self righteous. They don’t even care what is true or not about climate. Truth has nothing to do with them.

Always point out that there is climate change/ Gorebal Warning that is “natural” and then there is the anthropogenic component.

It’s not catastrophic, and the human part is nearly trivial.

“Historians of the future will look back on 2022 as the year America gave up addressing human-caused climate change.

And given the United States’ critical role in international leadership, this will be remembered as the year the world gave up, too.”

Oh, how I wish that were true. Fat chance.

“Closed minded” would be accepting the words of the climate nazis without actual proof.

You could also note that any discussions of green agendas for the US or Europe are pointless unless countries like China and India jump into the pool with both feet.

Anyone serious about getting us off fossil fuels would be advocating for building safe modern nuclear power plants. But the enviro wackos never do, so I never take them seriously.

You have two choices for producing reliable energy, fossil fuels or nukes. That’s it, hopefully Texas has learned that lesson. I do not want to freeze again this winter.

A picture of Goebbels would certainly do the trick.

I think people fail to grasp the power they are giving to the propagandists by giving them clicks - or worse yet actually reposting the propaganda.

And to make matters worse, reposting propaganda on a site like FR is giving them access to a conservative audience they would not otherwise be able to penetrate.

Does anyone doubt they have thought of this strategy? Does anyone doubt they would purposely fill their propaganda pieces with absurdities and hyperbole - knowing it will trigger conservatives, and go viral - as we obsess over it in the name of “keeping tabs on what the enemy is up to”.

It’s so dumb. They trick us into distributing their propaganda to all our people for free. On top of that, we’re adding to their ratings and clicks, so they can afford to keep the the presses rolling another month.

Historians of the future will look back on 2022 as the year America gave up addressing human-caused climate change.

So, only future historians can survive a dying planet? If I identify myself as a historian, my future is bright! Consider it done.

We already waste billions in that dark money pit called Amtrak, and this joker wants to spend more?

Money is really just an abstract representation of energy. Spending money is the same as consuming energy, as well as producing pollution. If Amtrak was energy and pollution efficient, it would be cheaper than its competition. As it is, subsidizing Uber would be greener.

Communist China should be our prime target for voters of mass destruction. China already does stupid things like high speed trains. What libtards have invented in the West should be boxed up and exported to China, to destroy the CCP threat from the inside.

Many western businesses look to China as a gigantic growth market. It's time for the Demonrats to do the same. They've run out of stupid Americans and have started importing the entire left side of the bell curve from Mexico.

Meanwhile, the Seattle Times website makes no mention of the attack on Lee Zeldin.

I had a lefty climate-nut friend (that I broke ties with eventually, much to his chagrin) who had two old pickups that leaked oil as fast as it was put in. I told him if he really wanted to save the planet he should kill himself.

You make some good points. Rest assured that I would never click on the Seattle Times website. I know it is nothing but leftist propaganda.

One positive aspect of witnessing the climate hoax as it unfolds daily in the leftist media is that we are re-invigorated to battle the lies. I have had quite a few friends and family asking me what to make of the “climate change” predictions. I am able to prove to most of them that it is all a massive fraud.

I think very few here on FR are taken in by the increasingly obvious lies about the climate.
