Paxlovid is a new anti-viral medication which disrupts replication of a virus using protease inhibitors. That mechanism is quite different than how Ivermectin is believed to work.
In fact, scientists do not know exactly how Ivermectin may work as an anti-viral. It was designed to work as an anti-parasite medication. It has been used for the last 40 years or so on billions of human patients. It is also commonly used on livestock.
It does appear to be moderately effective against COVID-19 and flu virus if taken within the first few days of infection.
Ivermectin has an excellent safety profile with negligible side effects or risks. It is also cheap and off-patent. There are hundreds of manufacturers and distributors.
Paxlovid is still an experimental drug with about one year of usage. It does appear to be moderately effective against COVID-19 and flu virus if taken within the first few days of infection.
Paxlovid has an unknown safety profile, however the known side effects are severe. Opposition scientists assert that the drug is mutagenic and will greatly increase the incidence of cancer in younger people. Research studies have not been underway for a long enough period to confirm or refute this hypothesis.
Paxlovid is expensive and it is patented. There is only one manufacturer and distributor.

I was sick with Covid last week. Did not feel well at all. Double vaxed and double booster. My doctor put me on Paxlovid. One of the days my O2 went to 95. I was a bit anxious on that day. Now I’m fine.
It seems like vaxed and boosted Biden contracts and transmits COVID a lot.

Which is why it makes no sense to continue to vaccinate people for Covid 19 when most infections now are a variant.
Covid 19 is pretty much gone and done. It burned itself out, as viruses do.
Biden doesn’t have Covid 19 per say, he has a variant. Wish proper terminology can be used.
By calling every new infection Covid it confuses people.
