Cops responding to the Uvalde, Texas school shooting ran away from the gunshots while 19 children and two teachers were left to die in their classrooms, according to new footage of the horrifying attack published Tuesday.
The bombshell video, first obtained by the Austin-American Statesman, shows police officers rushing into Robb Elementary School on May 24 just minutes after 18-year-old Salvador Ramos began his deadly rampage — but lingering in the halls instead of going after the gunman.
The officers even fled down the hallway when Ramos fired shots in their direction, according to the footage, taken from school security cameras.
It validates damning reports that local cops failed to stop the bloodbath despite being just yards away from the shooter.

Yes. Indeed. That is the perfect description of the Uvalde PD.
These clowns had no idea what to do because they are conditioned to carry out their duties with two prominent thoughts in their minds:
1. What course of action will be most dangerous to me?
2. What course of action will expose me to the most serious legal consequences if I do something wrong?
I don't blame the police for botching the job in any situation that has unfolded after the George Floyd fiasco. The only thing I'd say is that we may as well stop wasting money on useless and ineffective police departments and disband them.

The least tactical mess I have ever seen - no teams, no mutual support, all milling like they were a bunch of fat Shriners. Every one of them armed to the teeth - for what? Might have well been carrying donuts, for all the good it did those kids.
The whole mess was summed up when those first three fat guys ran like rabbits - rank cowardice. Why were they holding weapons? They didn’t use them.
If that community had one ounce of integrity, they should have fired every single one of them.
This is the first I’ve actually seen of their behavior (BTW, don’t be embarrassed...you ain’t THEM!). I’m a vet. I have been in combat. There were moments I’ve had that made my legs shake so badly from fear that I ran faster so no one could see it. There was an event I knew I would not survive, I felt pieces of my mind leave until I accepted that reality, was no longer afraid (because I no longer had hope of survival, only combat vets will understand that) and I moved forward. There were times I couldn’t breath right for fear, but I never let myself, or the men I served with, down. I never let the fear keep me from functioning, or, Thank G-D, make me run away. I DID WHAT WAS EXPECTED OF ME BY MYSELF, AND THE MEN I SERVED WITH!
So I just saw this. EVERY ONE OF THESE GUYS NEEDS TO BE PUT AGAINST A WALL AND SH*T!!! AT THE VERY LEAST RELIEVED OF THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES (WHICH THEY AMPLY DEMONSTRATED THEY WERE UNFIT TO FULFILL), THEIR BADGES AND JOBS, NEVER SERVE IN LAW ENFORCEMENT AGAIN, OR ANY OTHER POSITION THAT REQUIRES INTEGRITY. THEIR FLAW WAS NOT LACK OF COURAGE, BUT LACK OF INTEGRITY. A PERSON IS NOT OBLIGATED NOR EXPECTED TO BE FEARLESS, BUT TO DO THEIR DUTY NO MATTER HOW AFRAID THEY ARE. THAT! IS INTEGRITY...NOT ONE OF THESE SCUM HAVE A SHADOW OF ANY. THEY ARE DISGUSTING CREATURES NOT FIT TO BE IN THE COMPANY OF DECENT PEOPLE.
EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM IS AN ACCOMPLICE IN THE DEATH OF THE PEOPLE MURDERED HERE, ADULTS AND CHILDREN ALIKE! MAY G-D JUDGE THEM SWIFTLY.

An old video (2014) of a guy with a shotgun shooting a gal from 8 feet into her chest (luckily it was birdshot - she walked away and survived). A student “hall monitor” used his pepper spray (which is illegal on campus, but...) and got the shotgun away, and then grappled with the guy and disarmed him of his hunting knife and held him until others arrived.
They do get sloppy.

Unfortunately, I remember reading and hearing that police were no longer tasked with “to protect and serve”.

Hopefully that young man was rewarded for his actions - without question, he risked his life and saved several others. He’d make a top-notch Marine.
I noted that cops in tactical gear were forcing the rest of the kids by them to walk out with their hands laced behind their heads. Cops are Always tough after the shooting’s over.. a la Columbine.
There are no words to describe this event. Our military is also more concerned with pronouns, attire, and gender studies then actually recruiting and training our men to fight. God help us if ever we have another 911. We will need our “militia” to actually defend this country.

Definitely grounds to refine one’s resume to eliminate that ugly word Uvalde.
