Yes, and Biden supported it for decades....
He left it out of the 2023 budget proposal,but I think conservative members of Congress will likely make it part of the budget or it will be a major sticking point....shut it down!

Supposedly, but the law only applies to Republicans and conservatives. The Democrats and the woke can do as they please.

This year the Hyde Amendment is still in effect. It comes up for renewal every year during the budget reconciliation it can just as easily be dropped it’s not mandated nor a USC coded law it is simply a reconciliation amendment that must be renewed each time the federal budget is reconciled. So yes it is in effect today but it is not a sacred cow enshrined in law.
