Why the insistence on describing that business as a “bodega” instead of simply what it is, which is a small store or snack shop?

Just look at the product line in that place that you can see in the close shots taken by the video camera: tobacco products [to include the "loosies"], soda, and candy; these places offer a slew of products with low profit margins. Simply referring to them as "small stores" or "snack shops" wouldn't give the whole picture.

‘This’ is a part of America that needs to disappear. We give the food stamps. We give the Medicaid. We give the cash assistance. We give the section 8 housing. We give the free education. Guess which one they don’t want or use.

Killing them is immoral. It would be genocide. Putting them into prison costs megabucks and it doesn’t work. Once they are released, they have more street ‘cred’ and are worse than before. So what’s the solution? I am thinking forced labor for real wages. That’s not slave labor. Maybe company towns need a comeback, so something like CCC camps. Force them to learn how to work and value the money they receive for work. Make American cities clean with spotless streets. Clear vacant lots. Remove graffiti. Repair and maintain city streets. Upgrade and maintain sewers and water. Call it BBAC, Build Back American Cities. Do it all for minimum wage and one strike and they are out. No fighting. No drugs. No absenteeism.

She aimed her low-IQ baby daddy and turned him loose on the victim like a pit bull. Fortunately, he got schooled and is taking a justified dirt nap.

We need to get rid of the prison systems as they exist.

Bring back hard labor. 10 hours of ditch digging and manual rock hauling.

No TV in prison. There’s a prison library. You read.

No comfy beds. You get a small cell with a mat and a blanket.

Meals are simple. No choices. You get produce that’s not fit to sell in local markets. You get meat scraps from local butchers. Bread and carbs should be day-old stuff from local bakeries or unused cooked rice from local restaurants.

You get one hour of “social” time per day.

Enough is enough. Prison is a damn luxury. When there’s zero motivation to get out of the prison cycle because prison is nicer than life on the outside, then we’ll continue to turn out criminals.
