Also, if you recall, J. Michael Luttig was the alternative choice in 2005 to replace Sandra Day O'Connor (so either way we were getting the same type).

And Luttig is also Ted Cruz's favorite judge.

“A 2024 ticket of former Vice President Mike Pence and Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney might just be the thing that saves the Republican Party and our republic.”

No comment needed. [nor a need to read furthur]

From the article:

“A Pence-Cheney ticket would provide stable leadership along with traditional Republican values and policies.”

Yes, it would be a great ticket. It would lose, and RINO’s could go back to business as usual, as back benchers with big mouths and zero responsibilities.

Don’t forget, the Harlem Globetrotters’ nemesis, the Washington Generals, get a good cut of the gate.

I would not know where to start with the many ways this article is wrong.

Here it goes anyway:

1) It isn’t the man, it’s the movement. Amongst the many things the movement stands for is representing the constituents. You know, “democracy.”

2) The elites hate their constituents. Labeling them “radical” to justify that hate is silly and intellectually bankrupt. Labeling them radical also implies that the democrat party’s base is somehow “mainstream.” How convenient. Anything you stand for is nuts and illegal. Anything I stand for is cool and legal.

3) Youngkin’s main issue was one that was part and parcel with Trump’s movement. Namely, to fight woke indoctrination of our children in our schools. Youngkin championed this issue and ran a Trump type campaign despite the media and “elites” trying to shame him out of it by labellimg him racist, etc. Whereas the elites (Romney, etc) would have tucked tail and apologized, Youngkin would not. In short, he ran a Trumpian campaign and even called on the man himself at the end to come and lend a hand.

4) When a political party exists solely for its own elites is it a party or a club? And how does anyone support a club that their explicitly told they aren’t a part of and not welcome in? What is this political Jim Crow?

5) Just try to jam an elite down the electorate’s throat. He or she will lose because, well, see above.

6) Trump’s AGENDA, not just the man, expanded the base of the GOP beyond anything that the elites could have imagined. Working class whites and now many even more Hispanics. The elites response is to treat those voters as radical? Wow, way to really understand things. I know though, let your hatred of Trump cloud your every judgement.

7) Will these people ever stop and think for a sec. If Trump is as bad as they say, if he is so horrid, then how did such a person capture the nomination? Could it be that his agenda was dynamic and finally spoke to the electorates long felt needs, concerns and wants for this country and themselves. Could it be that they were tired of open borders, offshoring of jobs, wars with no end, etc? Could it? Nah, it’s that the GOP electorate is radical and racist. They secretly long for more Mitt Romney.

8) The suburbs alone will not win elections. But having the suburbs and the suburbs alone sure can lose em. See Romney, Mitt.

9) Because the media is radically leftist, you have to take them on to advocate for anything that isn’t their agenda. In doing so they will label you as the worst person ever and, I don’t care who you are, will give you the Trump treatment. It is unrelenting. If you back down in the face of that in the name of “civility” or whatever the euphemism for surrender is these days, you won’t be advancing the agenda any longer. You will just be Mitt Romney. I’ll pad on Mitt Pence, no offense.

A 2024 ticket of former Vice President Mike Pence and Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney might just actually lose to Kamala Harris.

The American Jewish population want the USA to level the rest of the Middle East to protect Israel.
They do not want Israel to enter the war.
The goal is a proxy war.
The American neoConservatives desire a proxy war...ANYWHERE!
Right now, we’re too busy trying to get into a proxy war with Russia on behalf of the Ukraine.
Wars and proxy wars are $$lucrative$$ to the Intelligence Community, DoState, CIA and MOSSAD.

Trump put an end to that concept even though the IC was willing to do everything possible to undermine him, including several assassination attempts.

Lynn Schmidt....., you are as insane as Robert Crimo III, Salvador Ramos and Stephen Paddock. Check yourself in to a mental ward, put on a straight jacket or stick to baking cookies.

I( don’t know how Pence’s numbers are running, but Cheney is 30 points down to her primary opponent. That makes this another liberal wet dream.

In some ways, I feel sorry for Pence. Trump did put him in an impossible situation. Even so, I would not vote for him for POTUS because I am not convinced he is a fighter. However, Cheney can go rot — she dug her own grave on her Daddy’s orders.

Vice President Mike Pence and Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney

That’s actually a zero sum ticket. 0% + 0%= 0% of Conservative voters.

OK, please tell me that this sentence is a put-on.

NeoCons (Trotskyites) had a few decades in control of the GOP. It turned into a disaster and no one likes any of their plans. Let’s see how it goes with populists in control for a few years at least.

This article is written by a child who should leave politics to the grown ups. It is dripping with naivete and woke utopian reasoning.

Trump and his supporters are actually trying to save the Republic from the Marxist who wish to turn the USA into Venezuela. It may already be too late.

But one thing is certain for the Republican Party, there is no going back to the George Bush/Mitt Romney/John McCain’s of the world. The RINO elites are finished!

A 2024 ticket of former Vice President Mike Pence and Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney…

Just…

Wow…

Nothing demonstrates the isolated, insular, echo-chamber world of DC more than anyone thinking Mike Pence or Liz Cheney has a chance in hell of winning the presidency, or even the Republican nomination…

> Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina tweeted on May 3, 2016: “If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed … and we will deserve it.”

You, especially you, deserve it regardless, Linda.

I’d stick a cork in it, if I was you.

These people absolutely do not get it. Amazing how clueless they can be about basic politics.

I'm not a "Trumper". I voted for him in 2016 only because of the Supreme Court. I voted for him in 2020 more enthusiastically because of his policies, though his Trumpisms were wearing me down. Now, I'd rather have someone else like DeSantis because I'm really tired of the Trumpisms, although I'd still vote for him as the nominee.

But when I read stuff like this:

Graham had the foresight to know what would happen if the Republican base voter took control of the party...

...it just pisses me off. I become more supportive of Trump simply to teach those self-anointed "elites" that they are supposed to represent us, not rule us. The sheer arrogance of thinking that ordinary voters should not be determining the direction of the country is offensive, and absolutely convinces me that those "elites" still don't get it.

I could do without all of Trump's stupid statements and self-inflicted wounds, but I absolutely do not want a rerun of party leadership that believes civility and stability are so important that we shouldn't do anything to be too "divisive". And we all know that means -- not confronting directly the left on all the things they're doing to this country. Give them enough of their way so that we keep things "civil".

Screw that. I'd rather have a bomb-thrower than a Quisling.

Pence’s Job that he failed to do was: He was to lobby the the corrupt PA, GA, and AZ legislatures to submit their own set of electors due to the corrupt collusion of Dept State and Judges in those states to rig the election. Failure of the legislatures to send alternative slates of electors on Jan 6 gave Pence nothing to do. The fault entirely lies with the legislatures of each state to conduct the elections lawfully.
