Now that the Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade, the idea of not being able to send their lady friends off to the local abortion clinic seems to have prompted young men to take interest in a permanent form of contraception.
According to the Washington Post, doctors across the country are seeing a huge spike in requests for vasectomies in response to the Supreme Court’s ruling one week ago, and men under the age of 30 feature prominently among those now seeking the procedure.
A Florida urologist told the outlet that he's seen vasectomy requests jump from four or five per day to 12 to 18 per day and that young men who do not have children are seeking vasectomies in greater numbers than before.
In Los Angeles, doctors have reported a “300% to 400%” increase in vasectomy consultations.
A Missouri-based urologist said, "We’re up 900% in people looking to get a vasectomy."
The Cleveland Clinic in Ohio said it usually gets three to four requests a day, but that the number jumped to 90 from Friday to Wednesday.
The Austin Urology Institute in Texas told a local NBC affiliate, "[W]e had over 400 phone calls to our office just this past Friday, with 70 occurring over just the one hour period after Roe v. Wade was passed. We had a record number of bookings for requests for vasectomies."

I don’t believe this. Or they’re playing games with statistics. If somebody does 2 vasectomies a month and now he does three that’s a “huge” increase - but only percentage-wise. Washington post wants to manufacture pro-abortion narratives, and also encourage men not to reproduce

Vasectomy reversals will be up 900% in about 10 years. Then another vasectomy 10 years after that. A smart urologist can work this hard.
If they are left wing nuts who are woke, I say you are making the right decision!

It could have jumped 900% right after the reversal, but is this just an initial blip that will return to historical levels in a few months.

French Polynesia-the perfect place to send our unwanted babies. Islands are spread out, people are happy and play music and dance a lot. No one is unwanted. Their problem is intermarrying. Islands are too sparse. They could use newcomers for the gene pool. French overseers need to be evicted. Plenty of fish and copra to export.
Any troubled girl who gave up her newborn would know the child s happy even if she isn’t. Reunions would be awesome.
Effectiveness of vasectomy reversal operations fades with time, from (maybe) 90% in the first three years to 30% after fifteen and less than 10% after twenty years. So if you’re going to change your mind, do it soon. The passage of time makes a vas deferens.
Face it. We’re screwed. So far, the wrong lessons are being learned from the SCOTUS decision.
Nobody should interpret this behavior as a sudden realization that sex, marriage and procreation should be connected once again.
