Former President Trump will travel to Alaska this weekend to stump for former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s congressional bid and a GOP challenger to Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska).
The rally is set for Saturday afternoon. Trump will rally for Palin, Governor Mike Dunleavy and Kelly Tshibaka, who is looking to oust Murkowski.
Earlier this month, Palin advanced in the special election to replace the late Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska). She is among four candidates who will go on to a ranked-choice election on Aug. 16.
Tshlibaka is facing off against Murkowski, the Alaska senator who has drawn Trump’s anger for voting to impeach him after the Capitol attack on Jan. 6, 2021.
“Kelly Tshibaka is the candidate who can beat Murkowski — and she will,” Trump wrote last year when he endorsed Tshibaka. “Murkowski has got to go!”
Murkowski previously called Tshibaka a “rubber-stamp Republican.”
“I may be the last man standing. I may not be reelected,” the senator said. “It may be that Alaskans say, ‘Nope, we want to go with an absolute, down-the-line, always, always, 100-percent, never-question, rubber-stamp Republican.”
Murkowski and Tshibaka will compete in a “jungle primary” on August 16, with the top four candidates, irrespective of party, advancing to November’s general election.

Murky’s gotta go.... a corrupt RINO in every sense of the word
Trump, the hardest working R by far, certainly now uniparty RINOs
He’s def running in 2024
Good weekend for salmon fishing at Resurrection Bay!
How great is this? Gotta love the Donald.
Boy that voting method begs for “cheating” by loading crap candidates.
The Murkowski challenger has a name, it's Tshibaka.
It's as if little Lexi or whoever the headline writer was doesn't want people to know.
Murkowski……yet no onnbrongs up how she retainer her seat 6 years ago, IIRC. loses the primary but then out of nowhere, an epic write-in campaign where people were so eager to elect her, they couldn’t properly fill out the ballots with legible names and addresses.
RE: Murkowski and Tshibaka will compete in a “jungle primary” on August 16.
JUNGLE PRIMARY???
In Alaska???
Yes (and I get what you mean).
A jungle primary with 4 finalists to advance to the final election, with ranked choice voting. Murkowski is going for the Democrat vote - running as the “second choice” candidate.
Good for Trump—He is acting like a leader. We need Palin in Congress.
Look people. The way to put a stop to this crap is to cut off the incumbents 4 years into their 6 year term. Just change the laws to ask for a vote of confidence by the party. Might not pass legal muster but anyone with her rap sheet is not popular enough to finish out her term.
I thought there were three finalists. One backed out and the fifth finalist claimed that he should be included in the four, being bumped up the list, but a court said no
The Senate primary hasn’t happened yet.
It’s not THIS weekend. It’s July 9th. The Hill can’t do basic reporting. https://events.donaldjtrump.com/events/save-america-rally-in-anchorage-alaska

That is for the special election to fill Don Young’s seat.
And on the same day as the special election (August 16th) is the U.S. Senate primary.
So Trump is trying to get Palin elected in the special election and Tshibaka in the top spot in the Senate primary.
That should be a fun rally....Sarah and Trump on one stage!
Do poll show anything about Murky’s challenger chances?
I still think of Murky as the scared little mouse with Dianne Feinstein right up in her face backing her up against a wall. Murky should have been done right then and there.
Wow, this is fantastic!! Are you going? ;-)
President Trump to hold a rally in Alaska for the first time
This rally starts at 4:00 pm Alaska Daylight Time on Saturday, July 9th. So that should be 8:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time.
I'm sure Newsmax will air it live. And Right Side Broadcasting Network of course.
