The author is either stupid or is being disingenuous here in trying to assume ANYONE involved in this fiasco might have any credibility.
The bigger point that he doesn’t raise is that there was never any reason to have this dingbat testify about a conversation with someone who is perfectly capable of testifying himself. Who cares if she is “credible” or not?
This committee may as well have asked her whether Ferris Bueller got his new kidney.

That is what I am thinking. President Trump would be in the backseat with Melania and Barron. Now, I could see Trump being upset because he had told the crowd he would meet them there and for whatever reason the SS refused to take him.
The question remains, were the SS aware of the plot and potential happenings about to take place? Trump not worried about armed citizens, but the SS were concerned for his safety.

Occam’s Razor: She told the truth and got bad information from Ornato. Or, more sinisterly, she got accurate information from Ornato but Engel and the driver now feel obliged to call her a liar for reasons unknown.
When a "witness" testifies to hearsay that is immediately refuted by (1) the alleged source and (2) the alleged victims of the act described, the simplest explanation is that the "witness" lied, especially given the "prestige" bestowed in DC to anyone who can tarnish President Trump's bond with at least half the American people.
It wouldn’t bother me one bit had he driven up the capitol steps, entered the building with a bunch of marines and stopped the fraud.
