Republican State Sen. Darren Bailey, who was endorsed by former President Trump, is the projected winner of the Republican gubernatorial primary in Illinois. Bailey defeated two challengers. Trump campaigned for him over the weekend at a rally. He will run against incumbent Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker.

Is Bailey another member of the Illinois Combine, or is he the real deal?
Hope Trump will come back to Illinoistan again to boost chances of a Republican Gov. ( I can dream can’t I?)
BAILEY’S the REAL DEAL!
Good news.
I will add this to my post. There isn’t a single Republican anywhere in any state that has the influence to pull off President Trump’s track record of endorsements and performance record.
Not a Single One has the man’s influence. No one.
My governor, Desantis, while I truly appreciate him, couldn’t in his wildest dreams accomplish President Trump’s level of influence nationwide. And, this point is critical if we’re going to take back our country from the Leftists, RINO’s, and the Deep State bureaucrats.
We’ll see.
I read something this last weekend that I thought was great.
Bailey’s home is about twenty miles closer to Nashville than it is to Chicago.
That’s a hell of a start!
All things being equal, Bailey is the best choice, hands-down, but not necessarily in a state where you can win the governorship by winning four counties, which is exactly what Pat Quinn did to become Governor after Blago resigned. In a state with these demographics, the "most conservative" candidate may not do you any good, because he can't get elected. But if he does, it will be a major triumph over one-party Democrat rule, a much bigger deal than just one more Republican governorship.
Thats awesome, but makes you wonder how trump could have chosen Oz over the other lady in PA
While you may be correct. It is Illinois after all, that was NOT the point of my post.
My point was, specifically, President Trump’s influence across the board, nationwide, and his track record that backs this fact up. There is no other Republican that can in their wildest dreams approach the man’s effectiveness and influence.
This was directed primarily at the Never-Trumper Trolls here on FreeRepublic. Of which there are many.
Not related to the Lt. Gov candidate?
😉
Why didn’t he back Andrew Giuliani?
Impossible, Trump grabbed the wheel.
“Thats awesome, but makes you wonder how trump could have chosen Oz over the other lady in PA”
You don’t need to wonder. The answer is, Sean Hannity. Sean has been friends with Donald Trump for decades. A strong Trump supporter.
Hannity is a fervent Oz supporter. He spoke with Donald Trump, repeatedly, and assured President Trump that Oz is the real deal. He can be trusted and strongly urged President Trump to support Oz.
Good news here.
Tudor Dixon was running in MI... where did she end up there,?
She was on America’s Voice before she got into the race.
DeSantis is wonderful... thank God he beat the pervert Gillum. That said, it's Trump '24 - - DeSantis '28...
Horrible Turnout - projected to be less than 20% Statewide even with Governor, Senator and Congress primaries. Millions$$$ spent on the Governor primary.
Most GOP voters stayed home.
Below 20% in Chicago even with some very hot Democrat Primary races.
