Based on a casual reading of the polls, Donald Trump looks to have smooth sailing to the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 and the chance to erase the stink of losing to Joe Biden that he so covets. But if that’s the case, why does Trump seem so panicky these days? Simple: Trump is in trouble, and — when you dig into the numbers — his grip on the GOP nomination is getting more tenuous. It is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) who has all the momentum.

Check this person’s in forum posts....you may want to retract your hospitality.......this is jackass is a troll sure as hell.
Playing Devil’s advocate for a moment, can DeSantis mobilize millions of Democrats to vote against him, just for spite?
The left and RINOs are doing everything they can to divide the base and drive a wedge between Trump & DeSantis
I almost wish the two would play along with the left and make them think they were succeeding and then publicly pull the rug out from underneath them.
Rest assured, when I say welcome, it’s always dripping with sarcasm.
These efforts to separate Trump from his voters will all fail.
I don’t know, DeSantis doesn’t seem like the “rally” type. BTW, have noticed that the Trump rallies don’t attract nearly as many supporters as they did a couple years ago. It’ getting to be old stuff.
Not the slightest bit interested in this fake matchup.

Happy month anniversary, DeSantis shill Oakie!
That’s what the conservative movement needs - Stacy Abrams controlling the voting process in GA.
Last time I checked, Oakie, "Brain" Kemp and Ratt Rattenspewer had sold out the "voting" process in Georgia to the Dems...
More like if some individual only just joined FR like you, then proceeds to post divisive messages, he or more than likely to be a troll.
We've had plenty of those through the years.
Trump needs to talk about policy and SlowJoe’s failed policies in relation to ...
Inflation and Energy policy
Border
Crime
I think Pompeo would be better at this point in time...He's familiar with other nations on a one to one...DeSantis lacks Foreign policy experience at a critical time.
I’ve always regarded “Welcome to FR” as a flag for others. Often as not, it carries an implied sarc tag.
But this seems to be your bone lately. I have wondered if you and rintintin share a password on this site.
DeSantis’ demeanor is potentially like Ronald Reagan. That is what he brings to this race in 2024. Trump did his part when he beat Hillary Clinton in 2016 but that was a different time.
Look, I love DeSantis. He needs to be on the national stage and is my preferred candidate, but I will support Trump without reservation as nominee.
I do Not want to see a primary. We don’t need one. Figure it out. The Republic is at stake. We should not take our eye off of that no matter how much the corrupt MSM would love to fracture the base. Don’t do it. Don’t fall for it.
DeSantis is a good man - and six years from now we’d love to se him be President. For now Florida needs him. Also, DeSantis knows what all of us who live in Florida know: we would have had the democrat drug addicted pervert Gillum for our Governor if it hadn’t been for Trump backing DeSantis.
Without Trump’s help, Florida would be purple today, had lock-downs for the past two years, and be governed by the black criminal (FBI handed down 21 indictments on Gillum last week). Our state and cities would have been hellholes - not much different than places like Chicago.
Because of DeSantis and Trump Florida is deep red, free, and not a corrupt hellhole governed by people who’s main ‘skill’ is their ‘sexual kink’.
For now I’d like the hate-filled liberals to write about why democrats don’t have a bench. And why most of the Biden Administration was chosen based on color or sexual kink than competence.
You sound just like the Never Trumpers.
Which means there probably isn’t an honest bone in your body.
You are probably either are a Globalist Stooge, or lean that way.
Excellent post.
You've been here six weeks and you post a hit piece from the hill, and call it an 'interesting analysis'.
Blow me and I'll call you Monica, you scumbag.
