Solid state batteries dont have these flame up problems. That’s why Toyota has spent 10 years developing that tech and will be rolling it out.
That’ll buff right out.
No impact to the environment whatsoever! /s
lol
I would never park one in the garage and keep it some distance from the house.
Just imagine if there were a lot of these things on the highways bumping into each other and other things then catching on fire.
Environmentalists and fire departments everywhere will insist in the future...
That EV makers pay for removal of batteries from crashed vehicles and junked vehicles as a precaution against future fire events. And those batteries will have to be disposed of properly, and taken apart into individual cells that wont cause a chain reaction fire.
Guess who’ll have to pay for that at vehicle purchase time?
Any device that stores energy will have a damage-triggered quick release of the energy PROBLEM.
There is no defeating the laws of physics.
the good news is there were zero emissions
teslas are zero emission cars
California firefighters had their work cut out for them when a Tesla that caught on fire kept reigniting.
NEVER take your Tesla through the drive-thru at Taco Bell.
The moral of this account is park your greenie ghay-dbag EV outdoors.
EVs the new ticking time-bombs
I use L-ion battery powered lawn mower. It is so much quieter, lighter and starts at touch of a button instead of hard pulling of starter string. Starts every time!!
But I store the bastery inside a fireproof safe.
I agree, the amount of energy stored in these lithium based batteries makes them all catastrophies waiting to happen.
Why didnโt the scrap yard remove the battery - donโt they have salvage value?
P
Wait til one of these things self combusts in a parking garage under a major downtown hotel.
