Then the headline is wrong. The posted graphic describes nothing about the current amount. The $4.2 million appears to be from a combined outlet. Maybe YTD, but it is not clear.
6.5 Creedoor has become the desirable round for the military.
Somebody realized that the 5.56 was pretty light for effectiveness.
Hornady developed that round into what it is.
I don’t shoot it.
“$700k is chump change in today’s government spending and ammunition market.”
There are - according to web search - 2,200 IRS Special Agents. Assuming they are licensed to carry and are required to maintain proficiency, that is about $300 in ammo per agent.
But won’t Lake City be switching over to 6.8 so9n to supply the new M5?
Meh. Bulk Ammo has 5.56 1,000 rounds for $499. Cheaper Than Dirt is a ripoff.
This is the same ploy used by 0bama to limit the availability of ammo. More evidence of the 0bama third term.
Meh. Bulk Ammo has 5.56 1,000 rounds for $499. Cheaper Than Dirt is a ripoff.
A FRiend of mine ordered 500 rounds of PMX X-Tac Green Tip 5.56 62 grain from Sportsmans Guide last Monday for $252.69 plus $9.99 3 month Buyer's Club fee which got him free shipping. They had a $20 merchandise coupon which cancelled out the sales tax, so he ended up paying $0.505 per round.
And with all the news about the gun grab and cutting off some of the ammo availability, wouldn't you know it, no PMC ammo at Sportsmans Guide today.
Hopefully all the good fathers in 'Murica got guns and ammo for Father's Day.
>they did the same thing under obummma several years ago, disarming the American patriots.... ammo wise. we learned then... won’t happen again.<
Yep!
The process will take many years, if at all.
True but they do plan on using the ammunition but against you and your fellow citizens.
Just ordered some myself.
Not that much though.
(I wish!)
Potato head is going to use this money to buy tutus for boys and peckers for girls not ammo.
Cheaper than Dirt is a total rip-off, garbage company these days.
SGAmmo has 1000 rds of Milspec NATO 5.56 M193 brass case, lead core, for $470 free shipping
Obama also closed the last lead processing plant-—in Missouri.
The weaponization of the US Government continues. When and how do the Democrats plan to use it?

To use Us to grease the
Tracks of their Tanks!
I can see good planners wanting to ease into the transition by minimizing surplus 5.56 and focusing on 6.8. Especially if powder and primer supplies are tight. I can also see Brandon taking credit for reducing the civilian supply of 5.56...”...AR-15 ammunition...” when it’s simply a consequence of the switch to 6.8.
