On other axes, the Russian army has suffered heavy losses in both men and material, which makes further advances on other critical fronts impossible for the moment.
The ISW noted that the invaders will be able to completely capture Severodonetsk only if they concentrate most of their forces there, meaning they would need to draw back their units to other areas of the country.
The Russian military is also trying to push back the Ukrainian Armed Forces north of Kharkiv and in southern Ukraine, but to no avail.
Earlier, the Luhansk regional governor Serhiy Hayday said that fierce fighting in Severodonetsk continues. The Russian invaders are pulling in all their reserves in an attempt to finally capture the city....

With pretty much the whole United States leveled, I would tend to agree that issues like Black Lives Matter and whether abortions are available in 25 states instead of 50 states, will be of lower priority for the 10% who survive, than they are now.

I realize we’re now trying to draw Russian fire on to NATO soil to get WW3 going for the Neocons, but it sounds as if the Russian leadership understands just that, and will at least force NATO to make an aggressive move, such as a Naval Blockade of Kaliningrad...and at that point our navy may say NO THANKS.

How can it be Biden setting up another crisis in Kaliningrad when it has been Putin rattling his chain talking about repossessing Kaliningrad? As for hints that the US is going to be flattened so midterms won’t matter, I don’t think Putin is mad enough to have forgotten our nuclear armed submarines. I’m not sure he wants a flattened Russia as his legacy.
Putin is just a bully, and is just doing what bullies do. He will continue doing so until he is stopped or he gives up the ghost. It doesn’t help matters that quasi-NATO Turkey (yeah, Turkey is a full member of NATO, but is more closely aligned with Russia than the West) is blocking the Finns and the Swedes from joining NATO, much to Vlad’s delight.

No problem. It does look funny, but it’s proper.
Curious about your phrasing of it as “repossessing”; Kaliningrad (formerly known as Konigsberg) and the similarly named oblast already belong to Russia, and have been since Germany surrendered that territory after the end of WWII.
