This should be common sense.
I would never criticise the head honcho of the company I work for publicly, unless it was a hill worth dying for, in which case I’d already have my stuff packed and ready to be escorted out.
From the wording of their letter, I wonder if the snowflakes saw it that way - that this was the hill to die on? Or were they really that stupid? And their outrage was over Elon merely saying he'd voted Republican for the first time?
It was smart of Elon to eradicate that cancer before it infected the whole company.

Exactly. I had an asshole boss once, but kept my mouth shut until the day I left the company a couple of months later. Then I told him to his face what I thought of him. (To give you and idea of what a micro-managing jerk he was, he required everyone to come to him personally and get AA batteries for your computer mouse and keyboard. Yes, there was a very high turnover rate in a very small company.)
