I’m confused. The guy FLEW from CA to DC, and had a gun? Where/how did he get the gun? He clearly didn’t bring it with him on the plane, or if he did, the TSA has some ‘splaining to do.

He had some help,he couldn’t have smuggled a gun from California on a plane.
There are federal “procedures” in place that allow carrying hand guns/long guns on commercial aircraft. Maybe he followed them and retrieved his weapon at the airport but i doubt he was smart enough to do so. If it wasn’t done properly then the TSA failed Justice Kavanaugh.

As far as I know there’s nothing illegal about traveling by airline across the U.S. with an unloaded firearm in your CHECKED luggage. It’s probably not smart, because of the risk of theft.
