An explosive device was found outside the family home of a California councilwoman Tuesday morning, prompting law enforcement to evacuate the area.

The explosive was planted near San José Councilwoman Dev Davis’ house in Willow Glen and spotted by a neighbor, who reported the “suspicious device,” according to a NBC Bay Area report.

Did have FBI markings on it, or Antifa style bomb making?

I wonder what the “explosive” was, and if it just looked like an “explosive device” or if it was actually a workable “explosive device.” Was it a booby trap triggered device or on a timer, etc? Or was it merely a firecracker bought at a July 4th fireworks tent?

“I have to say that I’m seriously disturbed by the fact that someone would threaten harm to me and my family just because I’m an elected official,” Davis said in a statement.

Mz. Davis doesn't know what a fact is.

Unless she already knows who did this.

They are so corrupt and crooked that when they die they can’t be buried. They have to be screwed into the ground.

Pipe bomb? Molotov cocktail? Pressure cooker and nails?

Knew it was a Republican when they didn’t mention the party.

If party isn’t mentioned, it means it wouldn’t be good for the DEMS. Kind of like criminals, if complexion color isn’t mentioned, be assured it is a black person with a criminal past. Just the way it goes.

Elected official? Ummmm, didn't she LOSE the election?

Doesn't pass the smell test, who would try to bomb a loser?

The firecracker stand just outside of the city limits will begin selling BlackCat “explosive devices” in about 3 weeks from now. Hopefully, the county won’t have a burn ban before then.

“I have to say that I’m seriously disturbed by the fact that someone would threaten harm to me and my family just because I’m an elected official.”

I’m sure the bomb maker didn’t do it just because she’s an elected official. It is almost certainly because of the bomb maker disliking her her specific policies and political positions. Or maybe he thought she was doing a bad job.

Regardless of the morality and legality of it, we live in a world where politicians better expect to become targets of violence. Doesn’t matter which party or political persuasion.

The canned response she made here makes me wonder if this was fake. Publicity stunt?

Elected official? Ummmm, didn't she LOSE the election?

She lost the race for Mayor. She'll still be a councilwoman for the next two years.

It does seem more and more as though they’re useless high-priests that do nothing but get reelected. They’re not special. They’re not great leaders. They’re not solving really hard problems.

Yet they’re surrounded by guards giving you the impression if anything happened to them the world would end.

Out of all of the elected officials who might be subjected to a bombing attack, why was she singled out? Has she been in the news for taking a controversial stance on a hot-button issue?

“Are we talking about a Republican?”

In San Jose?

She was a Republican until she drank the Koolaid about Trump and his alleged mistreatment of immigrant families.

Dev Davis, Johnny Khamis leave the GOP

Not radical enough for the Left, not enough integrity for the Right.

“The Republican Party I joined stood for freedom over tyranny, fiscal responsibility, free trade, national security — but most importantly, the Republican Party I joined recognized the importance of families,” Davis said. “I still hold those values, but the Republican Party no longer does.”

It’s not that the Republican Party doesn’t value families it's that the Republican party values American families first.

More details on the “device” would help clear the fog.

She holds a non-partisan office now but is known to be a Republican.

I saw an article from 2018 saying she was leaving the Republican party because of Donald Trump. Clearly a Never Trumper turncoat.

A “suspicious device” in California? Was it a copy of the Constitution?
