When people start lying, censoring, etc, I figure there must be some reason.
Nancy Pelosi refused to allow the Minority Leader to choose the Republicans to serve on the committee (first time in the history of special committees, ever). She picked a few never-Trumper Republicans, who know they are going to lose their seats anyway in order to present the pretense of bi-partisanship. Completely phony, as per usual. There was never any cross examination, no calling of witnesses other than the ones she wanted, no subpoenaing documents other than what she wanted. Hardly a fair, open, and honest trial/investigation, whatever it was. Trump requested the National Guard be called in (now why would he do that if this was some sort of ‘’insurrection’’?), Pelosi, Schumer, and Mayor Bowser all refused them. Why? The House Sargent-at -arms is responsible for security at the Capital, and he reports to the Speaker - the security was shown to have dozens of holes, gross incompetence, and Nancy Pelosi isn’t going to be called to be asked about even that.
They lied about Capital police being killed. None were. The cop who shot that protester was never fully investigated or punished and has been let off, with not so much as an explanation. The protestors carried no guns (some ‘’insurrection’’). Trump told everyone to make their voices heard peacefully. after all these ‘’months of planning’’, this is who Trump sent to seize the government? You really truly buy that - a bunch of retirees with no guns, instead of a bunch of, say, former special forces? You honestly believe that?
The Congress isn’t even supposed to be investigating crimes - that’s for the FBI under separation of powers. The FBI (you know, people with actual expertise with investigations) found no evidence of anything and closed the case long ago. In addition to the separation of powers issue, they’ve interfered with Executive Privilege, and used that to demand all sorts of records from their political enemies (what a boon that must be) - and of course there was no push back from the Rs on the committee because they are in on it. The president, any president, needs to be able to confer with anyone he wants and that the advisors (from inside or outside the govt) need to know the conversations and advice are privileged, in order for the president to get the best, most candid advice on any issue that comes up. Sorta important. And they’ve punched a hole in that, solely for politics.
We have hundreds of political prisoners locked up, no trial, no access to evidence, most with incompetent, uninterested DC (leftist) public defenders who are their political foes and are ignoring them. There is hundreds of hours of video that hasn’t been released, only snippets they use to their advantage - why won’t they release all the footage?
Where are the FBI agents and informants that were instigating the riots? Where is Ray Epps, the guy trying to get people to ‘’go into the capital’’ - why aren’t they front and center, or at least in jail with everyone else? He’s not the only one either. Why were the doors unlocked? Why were the Capital police letting people in, and chatting with them?
What about the Capital police that testified, that were almost certainly lying about certain key points (and of course not cross examined) - they were all given promotions. Why? Typical Swamp quid pro quo? No one is there to ask.
Thank goodness no real Republicans were allowed on the panel to waste everyone’s time asking about all this stuff, right? Fake News would have had to work harder to shield the public from it.
These are the people who lie about everything else, and are so terrified Trump is going to clean up the Swamp and expose them, and so insistent on taking him out so he doesn’t run again - as they’ve tried and failed to do for years - why wouldn’t they be lying about this? Knowing they are going to get absolutely shellacked this November, why wouldn’t the Party of Corruption and Dirty Tricks be putting on a one-sided kangaroo court show trial to at least try to stem some of their losses?
Am I going to spend any time with their show, given the above? No. And frankly the rest of the country is more concerned about Schmo and the Ds destroying as much as they can right now - schools, crime, the border, inflation, energy, the woke mob, the attempted intimidation of the Supreme Court, using race to try to divide us, BLM riots and corruption. This shitty party has about run it’s course, and some bullshit show trial isn’t going to distract anyone - sorry.
I ask that question re: all of the MSM.
