An Arizona man convicted of murder in the 1984 killing of an 8-year-old girl was put to death Wednesday in the state’s second execution since officials resumed carrying out the death penalty in May following a nearly eight-year hiatus.
Frank Atwood, 66, died by lethal injection at the state prison in Florence for his murder conviction in the killing of Vicki Hoskinson, whose body was found in the desert, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich said in a statement.
Vicki went missing months earlier after leaving her home in Tucson to drop a birthday card in a nearby mailbox.

I have long contended that we should bring back public hangings, but hanging is a lost art.
It took experienced and skilled hangmen to correctly calculate the length of the rope based on the weight and height of the hangee, so that his neck would snap when he was dropped. If the rope was too long you would decapitate him, too short and he would swing around choking to death.
Only GODS justice is perfect, and we ain’t GOD.
We just have to deal with it.
That’s a fast track compared to what is normal today.

If I understand correctly, the neck-snap method is a relatively recent development. That’s why the judge would say “hang by the neck until you are dead.”
Frank, strapped to the execution gurney, and with God himself listening, you could have denied you killed the little girl but you didn’t even though you had 36 plus years to think about your LAST words.
AND, I haven’t read about ANY strong efforts by anybody to claim your innocence. So, assuming you ARE in fact guilty of killing this little innocent girl just for your own fun, I believe it’s a certainty that you will join so many others like you in an eternal hell! So, our society showed a little backbone today and protected others from any future predations by yourself.
Arizona’s Texas Style express lane is kickin’ in. We gotta execute these bass turds before the RATS and the Hollywood Kardashian Princesses get them released.
