That's all this is, Kabuki theatre.

I hope you're right; I suspect you are.

There might be a bill, and it might result in lots of Republican Senate votes, but if so, it will be a fraction of the Dem's wish-list. Perhaps a national raise in age for long gun purchase, and maybe some funding to encourage state-level Red Flag laws.

The President’s own Son lied successfully on a Federal Firearms permit, and it’s not entered into the debate.

Don’t see the reason for optimism.

Problem is, liberals will follow and ruin the South, just as they the once reliable gop California into the hellscape it is today.

"‘My Hope Is We’ll Get’ Half of Senate Republicans to Vote for Gun Deal"

Well, the majority of you Republican scumbags voted to accept Biden's fraudulent electors, why wouldn't those same traitors vote with you on unconstitutional gun control.

More gun laws because all these democrat run cities with defunded cops, revolving door justice and no bail will enforce them, right?

Plus CALI has the most strident Gun Control, and they have the most mass shootings.

To add to your excellent points

If even a single Republican votes for it, we must hold every Republican responsible...up and down the ticket.

Scorched earth.

The plan is for Republicans with 4 years remaining in the Senate will vote yes. Everyone else no.

That gives them about 18-20 Republican yes votes. More than enough.

They figure you’ll be worried about something else in 2026.

They’re Republicans after all. Toilet scum, each and every one.

Toomey will go down in history as a Republican senator who voted to impeach a Republican president. I regret voting for Toomey. He never even showed up at our county’s Lincoln’s Day breakfasts or at any of Trump’s rallies. I volunteered for him back in 2000 when he ran for the Senate. What a mistake.

This is a great strategy by the Rats.

Get all the RINOs aboard the gun control train. This will disgust enough conservatives that they will just stay home this november, and, voila, they win again.

Tallguy :" ‘Private sector’ as in K-street lobbyist. "

Probably so !
My understanding is that since he was not defeated at election,
he gets to continue to receive a federal pension.
That is why a lot of Dumbocrats are no longer running for office,
they don't want to risk possibly loosing that Fed. pension,
given the probability of a Republican tsunami.
That would include RINOs !
