Despite Donald Trump's own followers booing and calling Republican House leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) a “RINO,” the ex-president sent out a statement late Saturday night endorsing McCarthy in his quest for 2022 re-election. “Congressman Kevin McCarthy is an outstanding Representative,” Trump wrote, calling the GOP House leader “strong” and “fearless.” However, after posting the endorsement to his Truth Social platform, Trump's followers expressed disappointment in the comment section.

Are you saying he didn’t endorse McCarthy?
I didn’t say that(?).
Maybe I misunderstood what inaccurate criticism you were speaking of. If I did, I apologize.
There is NO REASON for Trump to have given McCarthy such a resounding endorsement, including for Speaker, unless McCarthy is blackmailing Trump with his Jan 6 testimony.
If that is the case, Trump will be a massive failure in a second term and should step aside for the good of the nation.
If that is not the case, then Trump is stupid and repeating the mistakes of the past.
Art of the Deal does not mean empowering your enemies unnecessarily.
Yep. Although I must admit that I had to look up “lustrated”.
I’m not going to say that Trump will always make the right decision, because he is a man and none of us are privy to what could the best possible path.
However, I implicitly trust his intents.
Any person he endorses, he believes he is the right one in that time and place.
Pure conjecture.
Nah, I think it’s kind of quaint that people with no particular inside information on what promises are made, what indications of support are given, what districts are needed, can tell the most successful president of the last 40 years who he needs to endorse.
Yes those two worked against Trump and MAGA. Nepotism is bad policy always.

I get what you’re saying. There are some Rs I wouldn’t vote for under any circumstance. Any R who voted to impeach, for instance, or got involved with the Jan 6 “investigation”. I’d rather see a Dem in that slot if that’s what it takes to get rid of them.
Romney's not up for re-election till 2024. So he won't have a chance to endorse him again (like he did in 2018) until after the 2022 election cycle is finished.
I agree with you on every point. Thanks for sharing.
That would be really stupid.
Be careful. Its a cult, haven’t you heard? Its very difficult to leave a cult.
Well I’ve read the exact same thing here re: Kemp in Georgia. Some people want to cede Georgia to Stacey Abrams. How is that position any different?
Hopefully this was in exchange for a sign on from McCarthy to support all of Trump’s reforms when he returns to the WH in 2025.
Trump does not know the difference in a RINO and MAGA. His atrocious endorsements prove it. He was a great policy president for four years but he was stabbed in the back by some of the same people he endorsed. Time for him to support Ron DeSantis.
McCarthy one day after Jan 6 blamed the “riots” on Trump. Wha does Trump do? He forgave the backstabbing SOB. He’s did this time and again. Linda Graham also blamed Trump. Trump blew it off. Hell he endorsed that sorry ass Mitt Romney. He is so desperate to have RINOs and democrats him that it affects his common sense. In 2016 he was floating Oprah Windfrey for VP.
Time for to retire from politics and give the rein to Ron DeSantis.
Kemp actively worked for the steal.
