These people are a disgrace to the uniform.
It’s not just Texas. It seems like every time there are lives on the line the cops wait outside for the killing to stop. It happened in the Cheshire CT murders. The police waited outside the house while the mother was raped and murdered. They did nothing while the young girl was raped and then burned alive with her sister. Every American should know that the cops won’t save them. They only come in to clean up what’s left.
I imagine that was very embarrassing to the gun-toting cops milling around "controlling" the parents.
When in Texas, if you want to find the biggest concentration of liberals in one place, go look in the administration building of a public school district. School resource police answer to them. That should answer all your questions.
To make matters worse, Texas law allows for public school districts to have armed teachers and staff with specialized training in active shooter scenarios. Over 110 districts in Texas do this. Mine does. Uvalde does not.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but several of them were teargassed and handcuffed by members of the Thin Yellow Line for attempting to do what the “police” were afraid to try.

No, it does not say it all. There are some points in that article that are very wrong. The article veered far off course when the author wrote this:

That happened in West "By God" Virginia.Thanks for the correction. The point is it didn't happen by big mouth gun toting Texans anywhere in Texas when children were being murdered.
Standing by watching your fellow gun toting citizens tazed and cuffed while your children are being murdered is inexcusable and unacceptable.

Rather than take offense to non Texans comments, maybe you should clean the wokesters out of your police departments. What makes this so disturbing to outsiders is that we still believed in Texas. Turns out many of you are more like Californians.
When you really need a cop in a life or death situation, that how long they'll take to get there (depending upon lunch breaks, etc.).

The writer’s “they shoot black people” rant is propaganda.
For some guys, death is far preferable than having to live with knowledge of the consequences of your inaction, neglience and failure to do your duty. These ain’t those guys
The police would like to thank the children who gave up their lives, so the cops could go home to their families because blue lives matter more than yours.
If that scenario is true, then in my opinion it comes down to 2 actions:
1. Wait for further intel and orders. Which gives the shooter more time to kill more kids/hostages;
2. Or conduct a forceful entry which can distract the shooter and possibly save lives. Yes, he could turn around and kill more (including cops), but once in the LEOs have a chance to put him down.
I've read that even SWAT policies are now about the lives and safety of the officers first. That should not have been a consideration in this instance. This was about the lives of children being systematically murdered.
More will come out, I'm just working on what is mostly now known.
It would have help if someone closed and locked the front door.
With all due deference to your greater experience and training, I believe that the most important decision that confronts the officers involved is when and whether to DISOBEY the wrong stand-down/wait order. Thank God that it was easier to be made (and was made) by officers of another command.
Texas cops need to stop wearing white hats, they’re not the good guys.
