Providing arms to the Ukraine will prolong the war, increase the suffering and the likelihood of a world nuclear war.
Yes, the whole war has been a succession of Russia trying to bite off more than they could chew, getting frustrated, then scaling back their goals, and repeating the process. Maybe they have finally scaled back enough to where they can bring a superiority of forces to a smaller area of the battlefield and make progress.
But it has been a very costly process for their leadership to figure this out.

What is the incentive for Zelensky to stop this carnage? We have already provided up to $60 billion as a down payment. The Biden Administration is calling for a Marshall Plan for Ukraine, which would be implemented even with ongoing hostilities. Zelensky wants $5 billion a month to keep the country operating.
Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries in the world. It’s per capita GDP is $12,400, just $100 more than Cuba’s. Does anyone think that this aid will be spent wisely? Most of it will go to the oligarchs, including Zelensky.

This is the part of Ukraine that Russia really wants. For its corridor to the Black Sea ports. So what does scumbag Putin do? He demolishes these towns and cities with artillery. Killing, maiming and so on.
