Harrowing video shows Texas cops RESTRAINING parents outside elementary school shooting and telling them 'we're taking care of it': Cops took up to 90 minutes to get inside classroom where gunman had trapped kids 'because they needed a key'

Shocking new video has emerged showing Texas cops restraining parents as they tried to rescue their kids on Tuesday after a gunman unleashed terror inside the elementary school, as questions grow over why it took so long to get to the shooter after the first 911 call.

Salvador Ramos, 18, arrived at the school in Uvalde at 11.30am, crashing his car into a ditch.

A school resource officer was at the scene but he failed to stop him from making his way inside.

Two other cops also rushed to the school at that time - Ramos had just shot his grandmother in the face at their home less than five miles away. She survived and called the police.

When they arrived, Ramos is said to have shot at them then ran into the school, where he barricaded himself in the fourth grade classroom and shot 19 kids and two teachers dead.

It took another 90 minutes from that point for police to declare the shooting over.

Now, sources say police were struggling to get into the classroom and needed a key to open the door.

Eventually, a border patrol agent was able to get inside and the shooting was declared over at 1.06pm.

But it questions remain over why it took police so long to get into the classroom where the kids were trapped with the gunman.

One child told KENS 5 that he was able to hide under a desk, but that a girl who yelled out 'help' when police arrived was executed.

"This is not a hit piece on police, as a whole."

Ha ha ha!! So we can expect the media to write endless articles praising the virtues, and heroism of all police departments across the country as a whole?? Those will be coming out shortly right?

"Where does an 18 year old kid get $4000 to make these purchases?"

And isn't it interesting that none of this info is being discussed by the main stream media. They can't even bring themselves to label him "hispanic."

"it’s almost a no win situation these days though"

Years ago when I went through Hostage & Negotiation Training, the first thing they told us was to assume the hostages were already dead.

Second guessing is one of the easiest things in life to do.
You don’t even need an above average IQ to do it.

You, as a first responder, don’t know how many were already in there. You are depending on MSM reports.

The law enforcement hesitated because it was discovered the shooter had a copy of Hunter Biden’s hard drive and threatened to give it to the MSM.

Only shows that we need guns on the hips of qualified teachers and marshals in every school. There are too many crazies running around that should be in asylums, which I don’t know if they are still around.

Democrats are the cause of these shootings because that’s what THEY want!
THEY made it possible by their laws.

Butthole is a POS and he will not get ahead in Texas!

"How do we know they were unarmed? My guess CCW in a high percentage. "

That doesn't mean everyone who wanted to storm the school was armed. And even if some of the armed parents stormed the school, that doesn't mean they wouldn't get themselves, along with other parents, and even more kids killed or wounded. Allowing a group of parents en masse to enter that school would have been nothing but a free-for-all.

They couldn’t get in because they needed a key, but the gunman was able to get inside without one? And it couldn’t be because he broke the door down because it was closed and locked when police arrived. So the door that should have been closed and locked was not.

I sub at a semi rural school. The intruder protocol is that when a threat is perceived, the location of the threat is broadcast to the whole school. Classroom doors are locked. What happens next depends on the location. If you are far away and out of sight, you get the kids outside to safety. If nearby, you hunker down, barrage the door, etc. and you report any signs of the threat’s location.

Since the report says that the resource officer engaged the killer before he got into the school, the sounds of gunfire should have been the signal for everybody to close and lock their doors. We’ll never know why the two teachers killed didn’t. Not blaming them, they may have been showing a movie (last couple of days of school) and not heard the shots. Why the office didn’t alert the whole school, I don’t know.

The fact that the locked classroom doors caused a delay for police shows me that had the classrooms’ doors been locked, a lot (all?) of the kids would still be alive.

Who has master keys at a public school?

Many buildings have emergency key boxes at an entrance that is not the main entrance so that access to a master key is available. The AAR will note if this school had such a box(es).

Spoken like a real invertebrate. Bravo.

Maybe one of the armed parents should have held one of the cops hostage and organized an assault.

ARs aren’t $1800 any more. You can get them for $400-500.
