Shocking new video has emerged showing Texas cops restraining parents as they tried to rescue their kids on Tuesday after a gunman unleashed terror inside the elementary school, as questions grow over why it took so long to get to the shooter after the first 911 call.
Salvador Ramos, 18, arrived at the school in Uvalde at 11.30am, crashing his car into a ditch.
A school resource officer was at the scene but he failed to stop him from making his way inside.
Two other cops also rushed to the school at that time - Ramos had just shot his grandmother in the face at their home less than five miles away. She survived and called the police.
When they arrived, Ramos is said to have shot at them then ran into the school, where he barricaded himself in the fourth grade classroom and shot 19 kids and two teachers dead.
It took another 90 minutes from that point for police to declare the shooting over.
Now, sources say police were struggling to get into the classroom and needed a key to open the door.
Eventually, a border patrol agent was able to get inside and the shooting was declared over at 1.06pm.
But it questions remain over why it took police so long to get into the classroom where the kids were trapped with the gunman.
One child told KENS 5 that he was able to hide under a desk, but that a girl who yelled out 'help' when police arrived was executed.

My answer to this, is I don’t know enough facts. I don’t know the details of their training or orders in how to approach a situation such as this.
“If the city mayor or police chief said no police can engage the shooter because they want a high civilian death rate, would that make you happy?”
I would be shocked if anyone in authority gave such orders. I would not be happy about that.
So you know nothing, yet feel compelled to criticize the reactions of others?
As usual, go to the Daily Mail to get the story. And it shows that typically the police are there to arrest you, not necessarily to protect you.
I don’t get much from the video other than the cops trying to do crowd control to keep the understandably upset parents from putting themselves in danger. No problem there, that’s part of their job and yeah, they’ll have weapons and tasers visible. It’s the timeline that people here are reacting to.
And while in typical FR fashion some are jumping to conclusions while we are still in a “fog of war” situation where all facts are not yet known, anyone who calls for “lynching of police” is a moron. Everyone knows that police are guided by rules and procedures, the complaint is not against those who are on the front lines but those who make rules that make situations worse. Let’s see how this all looks after a few weeks when timelines and details are fully known.
I am sorry that you can't accept that the police response is often deeply flawed. It is really upsetting to think that the police would not just charge into battle with the killer. But that doesn't mean the story in untrue.
When the truth finally came out about the Parkland school shooting it turned out that the officers present at the beginning retreated instead of attacking the killer. Sad, but true.
Very detailed reporting by the DM. Thanks for posting.
We’re from the government, and we’re here to help.
Don’t even need to take 1 minute to double-check the address.
“This has markings of a planned “event”“
Keep the conspiracy bull$hit away.
That garbage is for kooks.
FR is not a place for kooks.
Not saying you're wrong, but what do you think would have happened after the cop(s) deployed taser(s) and the people kept coming?
They are hired to clean up.
His job is concern troll: to do nothing but criticize the statements of others, that might “make us look bad.” It’s literally 50% of what he posts.
This is why there needs to be and “after shooting” analysis of what went right,
and what went wrong, .. and why it was wrong, and what to do to correct the situation.
Every situation is different though... 100 years ago the place would have gotten stormed by both police and civilians
it’s almost a no win situation these days though
for example
If he only shot 1 kid and was holding the rest hostage..
the police storm the place...and the result is kids getting killed in the crossfire by police bullets...they would be accused and being too agressive and get sued or something
so do I.
it may turn out he was specifically told not to try to go in and did it anyway.
I’m not sure I understand your question,?
I am saying we need to wait for the facts to come out.
I am criticizing the strong hatred of police expressed by those who are so critical.
What’s your opinion, aside from asking a pointed question, which is a fair question to ask of me. But what is your opinion on all of this?
No.
odd part is local cops had to have kids in that school too
i don’t get why they would, given the above, stay out.
...which only further underscores that he's an obsessive, sociopathic retard.
