When I was 18, I was shooting an M-16 at Camp Medina Texas during my USAF Basic Training.
When my Mom's uncle was 18 he was being shot at by nazis. Fortunately, thanks to his govt issued rifle and training he received courtesy of the US Army he took out a couple of them and eventually was Honorably discharged.

The left keeps calling this a gun problem, but the problem is not the guns, that's why gun laws don't solve the problem.

The real problem is why does our society create these mass shooters? And the reasons are many, but usually can be sifted down to a few causes; psychiatric drugs from an early age; broken families; eroding moral character.

Of course, the Democrats don't even want to attempt to address those problems.

I an a Border Patrol Agent and yes the law does give us wide authority. However policy supersedes law and Border Patrol Agents are severely restricted by policy even though the laws give us the authority.

We do not look for or arrest people who are living there everyday life. Once some clears the border area without being seen and caught Border Patrol will not arrest them unless they are caught at the checkpoint or otherwise arrested by law enforcement for another crime.

In general we have no way of knowing whether or not some living in town is illegal and we cannot profile people. So someone who crosses and blends in will not be identified as illegal by Border Patrol.

A new feed from the KABB TV helicopter is showing an ‘assault rifle’ laying on the concrete in the ditch next to the shooter’s crashed truck. It wasn’t there in the earlier feeds. I wonder how it got there. And why.

It should come as no surprise if he indeed used an AR-15. They're cheap, easy to get, and quite effective in mass shootings.
