Pictures of Great Value’s Juneteenth “celebration edition” ice cream began to circulate across social media over the weekend. President Biden signed a bill last year establishing Juneteenth National Independence Day, commemorating the end of slavery.

My daughter's birthday is June 19, also.
She's happy she won't have to ask for her birthday off any more.

I’ve spent most of my life in the South. It’s a Texas thing; the rest of the South, not so much.

That was called Lincoln’s Birthday. Then it got rolled into Washington’s and called Presidents Day, which is sort of generic.

I’m talking about racially, against Whites, in that scenario.

Look what they do when we are still a majority.

Good luck when we aren’t.

I give it thirty years. There may be one or two
Scandinavian countries with White rule. That will be it.

Actually there was Washington’s Bday and Lincoln’s bday as independent holidays... then they made. MLK a national holiday which they made on I believe Lincolns birthday, and just consolidate Washington and Lincolns bday together on Washingtons Bday can started calling it presidents day.

And no I never heard Lincoln’s birthday referred to by any of those terms, ever.

June 19th was always a separate item.

“I say it’s like Kwanzaa — pretty much made up by white people to help black people feel good about themselves.”

I’ve known about it for 30 years. It’s been celebrated by black people in the San Francisco bay area for at least that long, and got a bit of publicity, although for the first five or ten years I’d heard of it, I did not know what it was. NOT made up by white people. A totally black thing, under the radar, unknown to most white people until last year or the year before. Also, because it was Texas based, and the migration to Texas was mainly west, it was probably unheard of in the eastern US.

The point is that Lincoln’s Birthday celebrated emancipation of blacks. Of course it was never called Juneteenth, that’s absurd.

That begins the moment they have sucessfully confiscated our guns.

There are several things that make that very difficult. Although, they never stop whittling away at it.

HISTORY: Not all slaves were freed by the Emancipation Proclamation, nor via Juneteenth. Only the slaves of the REBEL states were freed then. Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation was a wartime effort to split and weaken the South; he did NOT free any slaves in the Northern states. Slaves in the non-rebelling border states had to wait for the 13th Amendment, effective December 18, 1865.
