“I think Trump picked Pence for about the same reasons that Reagan picked Bush. The Deep State hoisted Bush on Reagan to keep tabs on him. Ditto for Trump.”

Yes. And they foisted Prince Rebus on Trump too for the same reason.

They participated in the Steal in 2020 because they couldn’t control Trump and Trump didn’t need them.

If Kemp decides to run, his property acquisition a few months after Trump left office should make for interesting investigation ... along the lines of Bernie's payment out of kind for acquiescing to Clinton...

https://nypost.com/2021/06/10/mike-pence-buys-1-9m-indiana-home-packed-with-amenities/

Mike Pence buys $1.93 million Indiana home.

May 2021 property records reveal that Pence, 62, bought a seven-bedroom, 7½-bathroom house in the upscale location of Carmel — known as the luxury pinnacle in his state of Indiana. And it appears he offered more than the asking price, as it was initially listed for $1.8 million. The home was first listed on April 1 and the former VP placed an offer a week later. The sale closed on May 25. Spanning a massive 10,300 square feet, the estate sits on five acres of land and comes with all the amenities your heart desires.

And according to Forbes, he didn't have much have much of a financial worth before he left the Trump administration ... https://www.forbes.com/sites/chasewithorn/2019/07/18/how-mike-pence-became-a-millionaire-from-government-pensions/?sh=3dea26424835

“ Outside a handful of "religious" voters, Pence has very little support‘

He has little support there. In Indiana he bailed on the Religious Freedom Restoration Act legislation as soon as he caught some heat from the left. Religious Hoosiers remember.

OK. We can agree to disagree. Pence is relevant for his misdeeds. The more light that is focused on the treasonous GOP-e the better IMHO. Adds to the strength of the rebirth. Where we must come together is after the primary, because even the GOP-e are better than the left.

“He needs to lay off Pence. Like him or not, I don’t think it’s a good look for Trump and his folks to demonize his former VP.”

I agree.

Like so many before him, VP Pence has likely been given an advance on a book and will earn substantial income from speaking fees.

In that context a $2M dollar home in Indiana doesn’t seem too extravagant or unusual.

until Pence refused to take the extra-constitutional steps

*NO*. We do not agree with your *ASSERTION* that these were outside the scope of the constitution.

You are wrong and mistaken in your characterization of this.

No founder or Framer would have hesitated to call out the corrupt in the 2020 election. Nobody would have acted like a rubber stamp.

We are in a civil war with communists/NAZI socialists.

We NEED a war time/street fighter President...not a country club RINO like Pence.

America NEEDS Trump to save our Constitutional Republic.

Pence supporting Kemp is a terrible look. Trump should point that out.

Pence is the sole reason we have Brandon.

Pence is a traitor, but the sole reason we have Brandon is because of RINO-controlled state legislatures who knowingly turned a blind eye to Democrat cheating and refused to investigate/prosecute the fraud.

RINOs would rather a Democrat win than have 'their' party taken over by MAGA.

Hopefully, the primaries this summer are going to remove a lot of these traitors.

Sounds good. Truly neither of us have much control except at the (corrupted) ballot box. True enough, though sickening, with regards to your last point.

I watched Pence closely as VP including through the pandemic and I would challenge you to produce one single piece of video where he was anything other than deferential and supportive of President Trump.

You make a couple of good points. Pence was a master of subservience. I'm not convinced that he chose not to reject electors out of constitutional loyalty - I suspect he feared he could be placing himself in legal jeopardy.

I think it was more of a limited set of choices.

I think he knows better this time.

What?! Who said anything about the Constitution? Oh, but you are such a good judge of character that you base your entire opinion of him on his “demeanor” on stage with Trump because in those moments he was deferential. Hope I’m never accused of a crime and you are on the jury. Look at Pence’s actions starting with Flynn, his time as the the head of the Covid task force and now undermining Trump again in GA by going there to support Kemp who torpedoed the 2020 election. I’ll leave it there. I don’t like or trust the guy and it started long before Jan. 6 of which I was not even thinking about when I wrote my original post.
