“Why do people shut their brains off when it comes to Covid?”
I think much of it is because we have become a risk-adverse society. We have shielded ourselves and especially our children from the tooth and claw law of the jungle. Everything is antiseptic, sterile, peaceable and safe. When an unknown virus pops up—and health “experts”, the press, celebrities and politicians all panic, we do too. It reminds us of all the apocalyptic movies we have watched, not to mention the Spanish Flu stories. We demand the problem be solved immediately and since folks no longer approach God for help, they look to the next great power: the government, which is more than willing to exercise its power, regardless of its competence. And our brainless reaction to Covid just encourages governments everywhere to find dangers time after time to hold onto and enhance their powers.
I am not optimistic the general public will engage their brains anytime soon. My niece has three healthy children, ages ten, six and two. She lives in Kentucky and they are still living in fear of Covid. They are all fully vaxxed but only go to the grocery store. No recreation, no vacations, no family visits, no church. The older two go to school but they are the only kids there to wear masks. She is counting the days until the baby can get his vaccines. She is otherwise educated and sane but Covid has put her and her family on the edge of sanity.
The risk avoidance trend has been going on for some time. The old stories and fable intended to teach harsh lessons to children have been rewritten and produced by Disney to ensure everyone lives happily ever after. Children’s playground equipment has been redesigned to ensure no one gets hurt. If, heaven forbid, someone gets an ouchie, lawyers will find a cause of action and demand damages. We now have totally ridiculous warning labels because of litigation. Until we accept that bad things can and sometimes do happen, that panic isn’t always warranted, that life can be unfair, we will remain a society of children afraid of our own shadows.
The vaccines use nucleoside analogs and have changed the mRNA sequence at to avoid the breakdown enzymes.
The vaccine mRNA does not breakdown naturally, and Pfizer and Moderna consider that a benefit.
Thanks. How long do these vaxxxes keep generating the dreaded spike proteins? Months? Years? Via messaging your cells to produce them? Are these messaged “slave” cells mainly in the liver or bone marrow or some other place?
Finally, do some brands of Covid vaxxes have spike proteins in the actual injection? I have heard that some do.

I pay no mind to the vax Nazi’s no FR anymore.
Instead, I observe the vax stats from my state’s (Ohio) Dept. of Health website
Only about a third of the number of people who got the first booster have gotten the 2nd.
This suggests to me that many people are observing ill effects of the Notavax in themselves or people they know.
Please, never use USA Today to fact check. What is wrong with some of you using crappy propaganda sources lately?

I have noticed the same correlation. Perhaps the vax supporters(wishful thinkers) have a tendency to believe propaganda more than than the anti vaxers.
I know if I had taken that experimental swill, I would be nervous everyday and would not want to hear about the results of the experiment that has proven to be a total failure.
People still get covid and they get it repeatedly if they got the fake vax. What a bummer, put you life in jeopardy for freaking nothing but fear of the disease you got the fake vax for, and damage caused by the fake vax.
Re: 46 - I don’t disagree that public health agencies have done tremendous damage to their reputation due to how they handled COVID-19. A close friend of who is in public health in OK believes it will take years to repair the damage to public health due to people like Fauci, Cuomo, the current director of the CDC (name escapes me), etc. Their office is to the point they booed Fauci when he is in TV and threw things at the monitor.
And yes, our handling of the southern border is so incompetent and so dangerous.

Critical thinking is almost non-existent these days. But indoctrination is common.

I have loosely correlated locutions in keywords and posts. Interestingly, the closest correlations have been rather constrained, lately. Still around, but not as often/vociferous. In fact, one could say truth is out and so are they.
After 2+ years of being on the receiving end of professional information/disinformation attacks, I (& likely most of us) find the hysterical, amateur attempts beyond tiresome. Not to mention transparent.
Hint to any of the usual suspects reading this:
we do not care if you are insulting, dismissive or have onerous personal lives. We all live with challenges and don’t need childish attempts by you to pile on.

The spike protein was supposed to be manufactured only in the muscle at the injection site.
The injections are made WITHOUT aspiration, as a standard practice. This practice enables some injections to be into blood vessels. Imo- this vessel injection leads to much higher adverse events, such as myocarditis.
There are some non- gene therapy Covid vaccines. I think they are not available in the US.
