COVID-19 cases are on the rise, but many Americans are over thinking of the virus as a crisis.
Even in blue cities, restaurants are packed with people, and many Americans don’t wear masks even on the subway or on airplanes.
Amid this national attitude, it may be extremely difficult for local or national leaders to try to reimpose any COVID-19 restrictions.

Although I still see a number of people masked up to the eyeballs with useless cloth masks. Even to the point of having the little children wearing them.
It’s appalling.
Covid did its job. It introduced fascism into many states and countries, and helped replace Trump. It made Big Pharma rake in millions.
But the folks have seen through the masquerade.
So there needed to be a new scare. Monkey Pox is scary and that’ll become the latest hysteria, only to be replaced by a new one in the weeks to come.

And they thought covid-19 was the Hotel California of plandemics.
Well, it lasted long enough to steal an election at least.
We were both exposed last week. I feel like merd with no energy, she has a sore throat. I had it back in Dec 2019 when my co-worker in back of me was intubated, I was only sick for 10 days. I take Vit C.D, Zinc and the rest. I want to punch out Quackony Fauxi. We had to cancel a big celebration. We are PO’ed to say the least.
I wasn’t either. I shutter to think of the days when stores had people follow the arrows to tell which way to go like a rat maze. Then where to stand in kindergarten circles to wait to be check out. Then the constant voice over the PA..”due to Covid”….. really twilight zone stuff.. I didn’t do any of that control stuff but I would say 95% did.
The decline in Covid deaths from the 3000/day levels of February has leveled out. At about 275/300 per day.
The counting has changed some. Many states are now not reporting daily so to get a correct death count you must look back about 2 weeks and then for today, you wait two weeks hence for reporting to come in. This is the same configuration as Excess Deaths.
Cases have turned upwards clearly, and you can’t have a Covid death without a Covid case, but cases have always been a much less valid measure than Covid death. All the issues with “of vs with” have been dealt with and there is largely consistency now state to state. Covid deaths align closely with Excess Deaths now, which are floating along just above the multi year 2016-2019 level of daily deaths.
Masks won’t help you, vax is now aged so much that the vaxed have lost immunity. Prior infection earlier than maybe 2 months ago similarly has lost its immunity.
And so we have NOTHING. No defense. The virus doesn’t care if people are over it. If you’re over 65, you are a target during the next surge.
Australia is currently being smacked hard. It’s approaching winter there, serving as the reservoir for everywhere else in about 3-4 months.
Only one thing has seemed to work. Evacuation. Empty the cities. Willingness to do that occurs at what daily death count? Anyone?
How are they treating covid now in hospitals?
I predict an outbreak of the dreaded donkeypox to descend upon us, most likely this will occur in the fall....
The reason for that is we as humans cannot stay in crisis mode indefinitely. It’s mentally and emotionally impossible. I think it is a natural survival mechanism.
Our “rulers” are trying to get around that natural defense mechanism by changing the nature of the crisis when people get burned out on the current one. Hence the convenient timing of the new “we’ve got to eliminate your liberties to save you” disease.

Frankly, that looks like a photo that could be used for poison ivy or such, too. The previous photos of monkeypox don’t look quite line that. Larger boils but fewer of them, from the ones I’ve seen.

If the argument is the public won’t fall for fear mongering again then that’s not the kind of fear I’m suggesting. The govt./media can and will manipulate as they please.
Even in NYC, most of us have given up on wearing the face diaper on the trains, even though the MTA endlessly bleats announcements over the PA about how we should all be “covering mouth and nose” at all times.

That being the case how long can this virus maintain anything like a dangerous potency, given how viri work?
If you had your diagnosis made by an unreliable PCR test, you may have had influenza the first time. (The inventor of the PCR test said it would not differentiate.)
From what I’ve read (I’m a doc.) antibodies to Covid last at least 2 1/2 years. Probably a lot longer.
Been taking D, C, and zinc ever winter for about the past 10 years based on a paper out of Japan that concluded that it helps prevent viral infection. It works well!
I have followed the covid numbers on a daily basis since its inception.
There is no surge
You have to mask your genitals for monkey pox, though. 🙂
