Its certainly surreal to see the numerous comments here fixating on the possibility that this is a gay thing.
Its not. Its transmission of bodily fluid, just like HIV and numerous other viruses. That means that the reality is that almost anyone can get it.
What people SHOULD fixate on instead is why this normally hard to transmit virus is suddenly less so. What’s changed?
I’d be interested in seeing whether these people have had the pfizer\moderna\j&j treatments. With no other data, my guess is that these treatments and the subsequent damage to peoples’ immune systems are what is causing this virus to seemingly be more virulent.

I was dating a biotech major when I was in college. She came in one day telling me about this new virus that was infecting gay men. She and her friend went on to describe the nasty diseases that could come about from their behavior.
Fast forward 40 years—the same “deviant” behavior among gays in 1980 is fairly common among young heterosexual couples these days. Much more so than back in the day.
This could spread pretty quickly among the sexually ignorant. And I think that’s a lot of kids these days.

Good point. It’s shocking how many young teens are into that um, practice, these days. If bisexuals are in the mix (and at least one likely is), it may not stay an exclusively gay thing.
