What democrat senator besides Manchin, would oppose this? If we lose one more seat in November, I bet it would get 50 votes. If we lose two seats, it would get 51, and they might get rid of the fillibuster. We are on the precipice here of something really damaging.

Seems a pretty clear-cut infringement to me. If I cannot exercise a "right" without first obtaining permission from some other entity then it is no-longer a right. Ergo, it has been infringed upon.

Only if the transfer is between states (interstate commerce). In-state...no...unless state law also requires it.
You know, one of the days, laws like this will cause the Supreme Court to just clear the table of all of the federal, state, and local laws that infringe. We are overdue for a clear reset to equalize the 2nd amendment with the others. Shall not infringe is rather clear, granted the rest of the 2nd amendment is poorly written.

These two gun control bills passed the House in 2021 with 100% of the dems voting yes, and several Republicans. It was only blocked in the senate because it was just short of 60 votes to break the fillibuster. Manchin supported the gun control bills, as did several Republican senators (usual suspects). We are much much closer to gun control passing than most will admit.
