On Tuesday, Indigenous tribe representatives, Massachusetts senators, legislators, historians, archivists and other members of the 19-member state seal and motto commission, unanimously voted to recommend the change of what some consider an “egregious” state seal and motto, WGBH reported.

New flag depicting fellatio. But who is doing what to whom is still questionable.
its a truth that if the natives had done more of THAT, and won, then we wouldn’t be having this conversation....
“The motto roughly translates to: ‘By the sword we seek peace, but peace only under liberty’.”
Similar to my tagline.
One of the most pressing issues of our time.
Oh, for pity's sake. I'll give that "journalist" a hundred dollars if xi can prove that the figure was not designed to depict a man. (he/his)

The Latin motto translates to: “By the sword we seek peace, but peace only under liberty,” or more literally “she seeks with the sword a quiet peace under liberty.”
No. It’s *you* who needs to need history. Massachusetts had no laws passed by the legislature to outlaw slavery.
You’re from Massachusetts. Do some genealogy. Learn about the white people who were put into slavery because they couldn’t support themselves or their families. They were put up for auction in their towns and were put into slavery. Yes, whites. Learn about the slaves that were sold in Quincy Market. There were zero laws passed by the legislatures to outlaw slavery in Boston.
The Supreme Court of the State of Massachusetts declared slavery was illegal because of a clause in the State Constitution that stated, “all men are created free and equal”.
Kind of a pedantic view. There were no slaves in the 1790 Census. Most of the slave holding rulings from the SJC made holding slaves impractical.
Kind of a rant about the white slaves though. Why would you think I give AF about that?
Slavery was abolished long before my family was around. I honestly don’t care.
You seem to care about black slavery, otherwise you wouldn't be posting about it. Why would you care about blacks being enslaved but not whites? Strange.
