HBO’s host John Oliver launched a vitriolic and profanity-laced attack on Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey (R) over the state’s recently passed Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act, which makes it a felony to conduct surgery or provide puberty blockers and other hormone treatments to children under the age of 19.

If John doesn’t like it, he can build his own Alabama.

I’m on the side of vote no to MeMa on may 24

Problem is there are no viable conservative alternatives. Meemaw at least has done little harm if not much good.

I’m voting for the long-shot Dean Odle. He will be a twist in the knot. I don’t like Ivey. She still thinks the Montgomery to Birmingham rule. Mobile to north Alabama be damned. I’m tired of central Bama leaders. Birmingham and Montgomery are dead. Quit acting like their opinions rule the state. They don’t! She will probably win but she doesn’t deserve to waltz into the post. MeMa needs to retire

I support the incarceration of abortionists groomers, the creation of a market to sell their body parts to the highest bidder, and the liquidation of their assets to repay their debts to society.

Because there are legitimate uses for hormone therapy in children, and as you just proved, you’re not a medical professional. I might have an opinion about what you should or should not be able to do in a medical setting but in the end it’s none of my business and if you really believe in freedom you need to respect the parent-child-doctor privacy relationship.

Well, there may be legitimate uses of hormonal treatments on children. Depends on what the medical condition is.

I can only say that I oppose sex change treatments for children, and that the Alabama law sounds like good legislation.
