Kiev has adopted a law making it very easy to ban oppostion political parties purported to be “anti-Ukrainian”. And they will. This is the “democracy” we must sacrifice for. While at least some of the parties lean toward Russia, a lot of these people are Russian-Ukrainians. Does that matter?
So, how do you become anti-Ukrainian? Well, you disagree with President Zalenskyy’s imperative. It affects most of the parties, especially the main opposition party.

The new law outlaws denial of the “aggression against Ukraine,” calling it an internal conflict, civil war, and so on. Any positive remarks about those deemed to be perpetrating “aggression” are prohibited as well. That includes referring to the forces of the breakaway Donetsk as Lugansk republics as “insurgents.”
The law simplifies the process to ban a political party. It takes a court ruling in the western city of Lviv as long as martial law continues and can’t be appealed.
In March, Ukraine’s National Security Council suspended eleven political parties deemed to be “pro-Russian.” The list included assorted minor, primarily left-wing parties, as well as Ukraine’s second-largest group ‘Opposition Platform – For Life’, led by Viktor Medvedchuk, a businessman with alleged ties to Russia. Having previously been placed under house arrest, in April of last year the politician ended up in the custody of the country’s security services.
It took place after Ukraine failed to enact the Minsk2 agreement enactment – 7 years after Germany and France brokered the agreement with Ukraine and Russia. It meant recognition of Donetsk and Lugansk as independent republics.
What is this called, sort of a UKRAINIAN DEMOCRACY... SOUNDS a bit like Hugo Chavez.

It’s one thing to ban “pro-Russian” parties in the midst of war (especially with occupied territories)
It’s entirely another to ban parties that are for Ukraine but don’t want war with Russia - which could easily be construed as “anti-Ukrainian” depending on how the law is worded or even the liberal execution of such.
Rest assured - this is being test marketed in Ukraine for use here.

Good on Zelenskyy for tossing out traitors. If only FR would ban our resident traitors and heathens who wish to see the USA destroyed. It would make for a much more serene and informationally useful forum!
Perhaps only a matter of time before they will succeed, but not yet. They will keep trying though of course, to disqualify the opposition.
It's such a laugh to argue with these people here on FR that proclaim they want the war to save Ukraine's Democracy.
So much for Democracy—Putin is a democrat compaired to him—he permits opposition parties.
What if Trump banned all the Democrats?
Depending upon who wins the Canadian federal CONservative leadership, True-dolt, being a Klaus Schwab poodle, like Zelenskyy, may outlaw the CONservative Party. True-dolt hasn’t had an original idea in his THC’addled brain, since 1981, so he may try to copy Zelenskyy, of course, both being ordered by the WEF.
You do know that the democrats want to do exactly what Herr Zelensky is doing, except to Republicans?

Before saying some random BS like this is Trump banning Democrats, double check the BS that is being stated in this article. For example, it describes Viktor Medvedchuk as a mere businessman with "alleged ties to Russia". Putin himself is God Father to Medvedchuk's daughter! He is currently in jail pending trial for treason against Ukraine. His "business" history is that of being your typical KGB-supported Oligarch.
So yes, if Russia invaded the USA, Trump should arrest traitors and criminals working for an enemy regime. That's a very good thing to do.

I don’t have a problem with a true PEACE Party. Every country should have one, to provide context.
