The Saturday shooting at a Buffalo, N.Y., supermarket that left 10 people dead will be investigated as a hate crime, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of New York Trini Ross said during a press conference.
Erie County Sheriff John Garcia called the shooting a “straight-up racially motivated hate crime.”
Police said a white man drove from hours away to go into a Tops Friendly Market, which is in a predominantly Black neighborhood, and opened fire.

In GA, two black teens approached a white woman with a newborn in a stroller. They shot the newborn in the face.
Baltimore has many unprovoked attacks on whites.
Plus many more. Police and media wouldn’t discuss motive. They said they’ll probably never know, and minimized what motive has to do with anything at that point.

I certainly agree with you about how people gloss over terms like “crazy”.
I would say that certain conditions, such as schizophrenia, and perhaps clinical depression are indications of problems in brain chemistry. In some cases, perhaps, chemicals can be added to the person’s system and help them with their problems.
But plenty of people simply “think wrong” which is obviously a subjective determination. Maybe it’s a bad parenting problem (maybe Mom is an untreated schizophrenic, or a substance abuser, etc.) The kid grows up with wild, uncontrolled thoughts of anger. Or a relationship goes wrong, or drugs mess with their head, or they pay too much attention to this TV show, or that radio show. There can be lots of reasons for someone to be “crazy”.
I think we have an absolutely huge mental health problem in this country, and I think the schools, the media, and the psychologists are largely manufacturing that mental illness by pretty much teaching people to think in bad ways.
I think this killer is most likely a “product of the system”.
