Good evening, radu...hump day has been survived. BUSY, BUSY, but I got a lot accomplished. All but one correction came in today and I was able to enter and post them. Hoping that no fires come in tomorrow or Friday.
It would be nice to do my Thursday and Friday jobs on Thursday and Friday. LOL!
Hope you had a uneventful day. Any weather issues?
Hmmmmmm, I missed a news item apparently. East coast? When did your daughter move?
I feel for Robin. One hour difference is hard enough to adjust to. Three hours - ouch! She probably never fully adjusted to East coast time, then had to turn around and head west again.
Here's another pic I got the other day. It's a photo of Gen. Patton in his plane. He'd fly over different parts of TN during the Maneuvers and if he saw something he didn't like, he'd land and chew out the soldiers. They quickly learned, "If you hear a plane, make sure you're doing things right!" :-)
Good evening, Mooch...it is now spring!! The snow guys are now lawn guys. They came last week and my yards are all cleaned up from winter. Now we need rain!!
None so far, so I will probably have to water the lawns this weekend.
How is your spring going? Nice weather? Can you get out and about comfortably?
I take horrible pictures, but I was happy to have gotten this one. :) And this one of the team in front of the house.
For you who didn't know, Mark Sudduth from HurricaneTrack was chasing storms in our area and asked if he could drop by the house and meet me.
It's still a warm 83 and pretty windy, and the humidity has backed of somewhat. Not back down to 9, thank goodness.
They were part of the collection of items we got from another museum not far away that closed down. We got a lot of neat items from them.
That saber is a beauty. I had no idea he’d even designed one, or that he was a “Master of the Sword”. One of the fun things about working at the museum - - it’s a learning experience.
How very cool, luvie, glad you could meet them!
That had to be so much fun meeting Mark and his crew. My blue eyes are green with envy. LOL How long have you been following his streams? It’s been a while, I know.
Thank goodness the humidity hasn’t backed off too much. That 6% you had the other day sounded painful.
Ours will slowly go up as rain chances increase the next few days. At least the temps will back off a few degrees but it’s still going to be mighty steamy.
It was fun and they were so nice. I don’t know if you watch his YouTube channel, but he does amazing coverage of hurricanes and all kinds of other storms. HurricaneTrack.com
FReepmail
I started following his hurricane coverage when Harvey was reeking havoc on the Texas Gulf Coast in August, 2017. Following with him along those Gulf Coast highways was nervewracking, but he’s very no-nonsense and informative. My brother lives down there and I was terribly concerned. He’s added many new ways of viewing the drama, and keeps everything up to date.
6% humidity is painful on the skin, for sure. The only good thing is that it makes the temperature seem cooler than it actually is if there is any breeze at all. Your steamy ranks right up there on the uncomfortable scale. LOL!
I knew it had been a few years but couldn’t remember how many.
I wish he did more live streams on YT rather than Patreon or whatever it is. I could watch him more often.
But I have the Live Storm Chasing crew that I watch regularly when there’s a lot going on.
The most nerve-wracking stream I’ve watched was Brett driving from Port St. Joe to Mexico Beach, slam into Hurricane Michael’s eye. I got dizzy a few times due to holding my breath. LOL
Yeah, that low humidity does make it feel cooler since your sweat can evaporate. We’ll be hoping for a breeze the next few days to give us any cooling we can get. I don’t need to go anywhere until the weekend, at least, but that’s when the rain chances are highest. And if it isn’t raining, it’s just going to be steamy.
You are most welcome. We must always remember.
I never seem to find them “live”. Just stuff he puts up later. I must not look at the right times. Watching after the fact isn’t nearly as fun as “riding along” with them as the action unfolds.
Good evening, luvie...they surely do, and have done, the uncomfortable and dangerous jobs to keep us free.
May you have LOTS of sunshine clear until next December, and beyond!!
I get YouTube notifications for his channel. I could notify you if you wish. If I don’t forget. LOL! My mind is like a steel...sieve. 🤣
It is definitely more fun on the live ride. Sometimes, boring though, when all they have ahead of them is a long, looooong drive to where the action is. That’s when I go away and then check back later. I’m sure you do the same thing.
Indeed...things we can’t even imagine.
All for us and our beautiful country.
How's everyone doing this morning?
Looks like that saber could do serious damage if you are on the wrong end.
