Elon Musk has revealed that he would reverse Twitter's permanent ban of Donald Trump after completing his $44 billion acquisition of the social media platform.
Speaking virtually at a conference in London on Tuesday, Musk said that Twitter's move to ban the former US president 'was a morally bad decision and foolish in the extreme'.
'I do think it was not correct to ban Donald Trump,' added Musk, specifically addressing Trump's removal from Twitter for the first time since launching his takeover of the company last month.
'It alienated a large part of the country, and did not ultimately result in Donald Trump not having a voice. He is now going to be on Truth Social,' said Musk.
Musk said that he had discussed the subject of permanent bans, or 'permabans' with Twitter, co-founder Jack Dorsey, whom he said shared his opinion.
'He and I are of the same mind, which is that permanent bans should be extremely rare, and really reserved for accounts that are bots, or spam/scam accounts,' said Musk.
'I would reverse the permaban [of Trump]' he said, adding: 'obviously I don't own Twitter yet, so this is not something that will definitely happen.'

I don’t think Trump being booted off Twitter and his improved poll numbers are a coincidence. I’d prefer he stay off, but I suspect that won’t be the case.
He should direct his followers there to open a Truth Social account and follow him over there.
Then pin it and leave it there.

But I doubt Trump will return to Twitter as he now has Truth Social (I do agree with Musk that Trumpet would have been a better name albeit for marketing reasons it was wiser not to name it that).
TS will be a rival to Twitter as will Gab. And that is a good thing.
Several platforms competing and playing off each other will yield better results then one dominate platform.
Because Trump can immediately resume doing what made him a phenomenon -- he is the God-given agent provocateur sent to disrupt and destroy embedded Marxism in our Federal and State and Ghetto, uh, Metro governments.

The political ground is plowed and ready for the Return of President Trump. But when it comes down to brass tacks and Trump-on-Musk's-Twitter, as Bannon said, "Trump is the most brilliant [American] orator since Williams Jenning Bryan." Why would he stay away?
Trump would be foolish not to return to Twitter at least once in awhile. Truth Social is basically for people who are already fans of President Trump. He is not reaching many independents there. If he is serious about running again or influencing a positive change in America, he has to convince indies and conservative democrats to embrace his policies. That is not going to happen just on Truth Social.
President Trump was permanbanned from Twitter January 2021, and his approval ratings versus Biden cratered.
Uh... Stupid question, I know, but if Jack “Canyagivemeabuck” Dorsey was against permanent Twitter bans, then why did Trump get permanently banned?
I don’t think Jack Dorsey is still with Twitter....I think he resigned as CEO before all this hit!!!!
