So I see, you rob a bank, as you are headed to your getaway car, a copper stops you. You hand him the money and you just go on your merry way. Maybe in Bidetville for sure.

When Republicans take the House, we’ll finally get answers about Hunter and Joe Biden
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wouldn’t bet on that.
Did we ever get any real answers on Benghazi?
Lawyers are so generous!
I wonder what that lawyer is getting in return from us.
Seems like this would amount to a gift of $2M, which would then require reporting on Hunter Biden’s tax forms.
Money laundering. Similar to the sale of Hunter’s paintings.
Sure, this guy forked over millions of dollars to Biden’s family. But I’m sure he didn’t get anything in return, so there’s no way this is corruption.
Hey, maybe we should get back to looking into Trump’s kids! I heard a rumor that one of them doesn’t always recycle.
Well, that 2 million should be treated as income. It would be if you or I had some “Good Samaritan” who stepped in to pay off our delinquent taxes, if we ever had any, which so far I haven’t, and I’m sure you haven’t either.
To: Red Badger
Publishing/Media/Hollywood seem to be the most updated money-laundering and political payoff mechanisms
We have seen many female politicians getting huge sums for “children’s books” which sell no copies.
in 2018 Obama’s were given $65 million for future book rights. They also signed an undisclosed deal (some say worth up to $120 million) to produce documentaries for Nexflix. Seriously?
Seems Bidens are using a similar mechanism.
That will take care of Hunter’s tax issue.
Now, they will retroactively register Hunter as a foreign agent which will make all his criminal dealings perfectly legal.
No more crimes, nothing to investigate. Case closed.
The forgiving of a loan is treated by the IRS as income for the beneficiary. If the loan was forgiven Hunter would owe income tax on it (Form 1099-C Cancelation of Debt).
A gift by a third party, however, is typically not taxable (although it could raise a bunch of other ethical/legal issues).
If someone pays 2 million dollars of your taxes, isn’t that 2 mil considered a form of income? So isn’t hunter now liable for paying the taxes on that 2 mil?
