According to two separate surveys conducted in early May, the Alabama U.S. Senate Republican primary has a new leader, former Business Council of Alabama CEO and president Katie Britt.One poll commissioned by the Alabama Forestry PAC and conducted by McLaughlin & Associates, a survey of 500 respondents conducted May 2 through May 5, showed Britt up over Durant and Brooks by double-digits. Another survey obtained by Breitbart News, conducted by the Moore Information Group, a pollster used by Republicans across the country, was conducted May 2 through May 5 and also showed Britt out front but with Durant tied with Brooks…..

Are the Chamber of Crony Capitalism people stupid enough to think that once the illegal aliens vote in communism, that they will get to keep their businesses and wealth? Is driving down the wages of American workers all that they can think of? It’s hard to believe anyone is that stupid but they seem to be the driving force behind the GOP establishment.

Not an Alabamian, but Mike Durant is better known as the Pilot of “Super Six Four” which was the other Black Hawk shot down in Mogadishu on 3 Oct 93. Durant was captured by the Somalis and rescued by the US Military. There’s a famous picture of him saluting from his stretcher as he was being moved to Germany. If I were in Alabama, he’d get my vote.
Durant is on tape as saying disarming cities would go a long way to cutting crime or something along those lines. They are lumping him in as a stealth democrat. I dont like the guy he got a real early jump on campaigning to get his name out there. as for what he actually is, its hard to discern from all the noise. I wont vote for him.
Sadly, many active and ex- military do believe civilians should not be allowed weapons. I work with one. He is pro-abortion, anti 2nd amendment, pro Hillary , etc.And laughs at the ideas that the economy and world peace were much better with Trump as President.
Past service doesn’t negate present anti-freedom views.
Based on that alone? Why?
Brooks is the only solid conservative with a track record. Britt is Shelby’s hand-picked successor. Durant is using his military service to bolster his campaign.
Currently, Trump is not endorsing any of the candidates.
I’ve posted this before in a long career in the defense industry and working closely with NCO’s to O-8s. I’ve met a significant minority of left wingers. (One a Navy captain who was a socialist party member and proud of it! And no he wasn’t kidding!) Almost all officers, right now I can’t think of a single NCO but there had to be at least a few. They’re mostly “big government conservatives” as oxymoronic as that may sound. (Without a big expensive government no big expensive military with all its “rank-has-its-privileges ” perks!) I will end with by saying very few are small government libertarians.
