President Eisenhower, in his final address to the nation, uttered words that will remain relevant for ages.
The following is a key excerpt from that speech:
In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist.

The military-industrial complex that Eisenhower was referring to is the nefarious alliance among governments, arms manufacturers, arms dealers, and mercenaries.
This is a coalition that profiteers from wars and hence uses its powers to compel governments to enter optional conflicts. The fact that the lives of civilians and armed personnel are lost and trillions of taxpayer dollars are wasted hardly matters to them.
This is a symbiotic relationship.
The arms dealer or defense contractor donates to the politician and perhaps promises them lucrative jobs after their retirement from politics.

“If the Democrats plunge us into a war that will prove to be unpopular from the start”
Not sure the radicals in Washington are that savvy.
this cartoonish reasoning shows no understanding details of this problem - and our own country’s deep-involvement in it.
FJB needs a US city nuked so he can cancel the election. If Russia won’t do it, the CIA will.
Wilson, FDR, Truman, Johnson, Bush, Biden...
Almost every non-Republican president, during the past century, has used a “plunge into war” to advance totalitarianism in the U.S.

“Every military invasion needs an exit strategy.”
And Pidor Putin didn’t have one. That arrogant prick thought he could invade Ukraine and the Ukrainians would fold...and so did a lot of people in the West.
When the Ukies fought back the West decided they were worth supporting.
Now Pidor Putin and his Soviet army are getting their butts kicked and the butt kicking is only going to get worse.
Ukraine has Harpoon missiles to deny Russia’s navy from the Black Sea.
They now have Tomahawk missiles and can start hitting targets well inside Russia.
They’re going to have modern Western main battle tanks like the Abrams, Leopard, and etc. to slaughter the worthless T-64 variants.
The Ukrainians are training to take ownership of F-16 fighters to use against the Russian fighters and bombers.
Russia’s economy is in steep decline.
And Pidor Putin painted himself into the corner where nothing short of total victory over Ukraine would suffice.
What remains to be seen is if he declares war on May 9th like so many rumors are saying. And we’ll see if Belarus is stupid enough to get into the war and risk war with NATO.
In any case there is now no plausible scenario where Russia conquers Ukraine or any part of Ukraine and they get to declare victory.
Pidor Putin pooched this stupid and vainglorious adventure by starting it in the first place.

Here’s looking at you Kevin McCarthy, Steve Scalise and Mitch McConnell.
There's only a handful of people on either side of the aisle willing to oppose direct involvement in this war and some of the most rabid supporters are Republicans.
Right. And as of now, it looks like a stalemate. So a compromise is needed. Putin needs to save face. Yet he can’t be rewarded for his aggression.
Maybe Ukraine could cede some of its land in the east to Russia. That territory is ethnically Russian, and it’s probably gone anyway. In return, Ukraine gets a large amount of Russian gold. Everyone can then claim a victory of sorts.
Such an agreement wouldn’t be easy to pull off. It’s a shame we don’t have anyone in the White House now who knows how to make deals.
I saw a Retired General on Fox News yesterday wearing a dual US/Ukraine pin.
Mind boggling.
If Biden and democrats create a conflict with Russia, it’s something which they won’t be able to get the U.S. out of, since, they (democrats) don’t have a good track record in resolving foreign affairs/military conflicts. So, democrats would suffer a lot more damage than they have up to now.
There is nothing that can save democrats from the shellacking to come in November.
They’re going to ride the abortion issue and describe *anyone* that is MAGA as worse than terrorists, KKK, Antifa and are the worst people that have ever existed.
We’ll have to push back on abortion, as it can no longer be about “women’s rights” because they can’t define what a ‘woman’ is. We need to fight fire with fire. Call *anyone* that says young kids should be ‘educated’ on ANY adult sexual topic a PEDO!! Don’t like the Florida bill? YOU’RE A PEDO!! We MUST get louder.

Democrats, the IC, neocons, and a handful of Ukraine shills here and there.
This is insane!!!
We have completely lost the ability to envision the consequences of a nuclear war.

I agree. People who get upset if their cable TV is disrupted can’t seem to envision mass migration from bombed cities, destroyed homes, no food or water, etc. It’s not a video game you can turn off.
If the democrat sleaze-bags thought they could draw attention away from the economy, inflation, skyrocketing gas prices, the open borders and their absolutely horrible governance by attacking their own mothers on Mother’s Day they wouldn’t hesitate a nano-second to do just that.
“Who Would Have Guessed That Every Major Politician Who Has Visited Ukraine In 2022 Is A Member Of The World Economic Forum ? And that includes new WEF member Simon Coveney”
Well, when their primary goal is to destroy Capitalism, and the US is the biggest bastion, then it makes sense to get the US into a war with Russia. Record inflation, failing schools, over run border, corrupt Fedgov, Congress on the take, 30 TRILLION IN DEBT—not enough, apparently.
Must. Have. New. War!!!
Lose-lose = Win for WEF.
Thanks, Hannity! Thanks, Kilmead! Thanks, neocons!
It was good while it lasted.
“Smile! Wait for the flash...”
Very true.
