No, Warren, the Supreme Court with the Constitution has the final word.

If every Democrat in Congress followed their own traditions, every black person would be relegated to 2nd class citizenship. It doesn't matter what the Dems vote for. The Constitution and the Supreme Court have the final say.

I recommend that squaw Warren go back to the reservation and cookup some pemmican for the fellas.

So if the Repukes win and try and pass a life protection law you will say, well, they did win the election?

Every single state already has laws on abortion.

Then we fight to get the message out.

We don’t play political expediency on this one, do the right thing and let the chips fall where they may.

Abortion should be a matter for the states — not the federal government.

And courts should not be legislating from the bench.

Not unless they have enough votes to pass an amendment.

Even if they get rid of the filibuster and pass legislation, if the Supremes strike down Roe, then expect them to strike down any Congressional attempt to reinstitute the provisions of Roe without passing an amendment. The power belongs to the states, not to the federal government, and Congress cannot change that without an amendment.

Try as I may, try as I might, I still cannot fathom the obsession people have with abortion.

In short, it is wrong, evil and unconscionable. It ia nothing less than state sanctioned murder. It is a stain upon all our souls.

Lord, have mercy. Forgive, protect and defens us from ourselves and our “betters”. We are our own worst enemy.

Most the pity.

Congress can only pass laws that are constitutional.

Can Congress pass a law that, for example, legalizes polygamy? States can, but not Congress.

If Congress passes a law that is unconstitutional, that law can be challenged
In court.

What Congress CAN DO, is propose an Amendment to the Constitution.

To legalize Roe vs. Wade, an Amendment to the Constitution would need to be ratified by 3/4 of states.

Hey Liz, is it on the fraudulent absentee ballots? Asking for a Democrat friend.

2000mules just released (2000 mules, 200,000 felonies) - distraction

Democrats are losing, they have NOTHING to run on. They have to create something.

Then the Rats will lose even more seats. Screaming about abortion may cause ‘leaks’ of gruesome fetal dismemberment pictures or videos.

You can go to each state and read them. Alito listed 37 in his opinion in the index.

“I believe states have legislatures”

Yes, of course they do. My point was that it should be an issue for state legislatures, not Congress (federal legislature).

Unfortunately Roe vs Wade is pretty popular so this issue will help Democrats get their vote out.

This may save the Senate for the Dems

__________________________________________________________

Nonsense. Abortion is unpopular. If it is popular then the states will make it legal in the states where it is popular. The states is where this issue belongs, except I don’t think it would be wrong to make it just like Murder, Manslaughter etcetera, make it the right of the state to control and punish. If you don’t like it go to a state you do like.
