Immediately following a Politico report that the U.S. Supreme Court was poised to overturn a decades-old landmark abortion ruling, Roe v. Wade, CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin warned how the draft came to light, which was through a leak, would have a lasting impact on the institution.
Toobin told CNN host Anderson Cooper the leak was a “shattering experience,” and he was not sure “how or if the institution” will recover.

It used to be when you shamed yourself and your family you went off into the woods to live in obscurity, to avoid the rest of us having to be embarrassed to deal with you.
This bunch will not overturn precedent. Even if they thought to for a moment they will definitely back down. This is exactly the group who are not willing to be “controversial”. Barrett wants some left wing female praise so she is definitely swayable. Brett wants everyone to like him and believe that he didn’t hurt that woman so he’s swayable and Roberts doesn’t need to be swayed. The already own his vote. The institution is just as broken as the others.
The leaker will become a hero on the left and get a job at the SPLC.
Bingo!! I would never put nine lawyers in charge of deciding what's for dinner, let alone giving them the kind of power the SCOTUS has assumed as the judiciary has become increasingly 'activist'.
Further, it isn't just nine lawyers. It's nine lawyers from essentially two law schools - and thus nine lawyers representing a narrow point of view pushed by the faculty/administration of two highly overrated law schools.
Only Amy Coney Barrett didn't go to either Harvard or Yale law schools. That is the true lack of diversity - irrespective of the skin color of any of them.
