An ex-KGB agent who defected to the West has said 'paranoid' and 'insane' Putin is likely to be suffering from Parkinson's and early stage dementia, but added that members of his inner circle may be kept in the dark about his physical state.
Boris Karpichkov former KBG agent who defected from Russia, told The Sun that Putin was 'insane' and becoming 'obsessed by paranoid ideas'. 'He sees literally everyone, including those inside the Russian security services and even inside his close inner circle, to be "traitors"', he said. Putin may be keeping those closest to him unaware of his health difficulties, in under to maintain his strongman image
Former KGB-agent listed Parkinson's, cancer, or another medical condition as an explanation for his odd behavior, adding to the list of commentators speculating over Putin's health. 'I am not a medic myself... but there is serious concern that Putin is suffering from numerous physical health conditions - possibly from sport injuries during his younger years,' ---. 'This is along with some issues which affect older people - such as Dementia in early stages.'
Karpichkov said Russian president is known among his circle as obsessive over details, with reputation for remembering faces and conversations. 'He is so suspicious and so obsessed with paranoid ideas that he can be now compared with Stalin tyrant,' ---. Bloated Putin was seen gripping a table, slouching in his chair during a televised meeting with defense minister Sergei Shoigu.
Stalin's last years were marked by paranoia and mistrust. He had one of his doctors imprisoned after he suggested the dictator should retire from political life to try and improve his health. By 1952, the Kremlin was rounding up doctors and torturing them for allegedly plotting to kill senior politicians, resulting in most medical professionals fleeing the country.

Not as bad as Biden.

Oh, mommy!
Even if Putin does order a nuclear strike it’s hard to see how a launch order from Putin would actually lead to a missile getting launched. A lot can happen in the chain of command.. including say a “technical fault” in the missile itself which prevents its launch. Putin may be terminally ill and suicidal but I don’t think anyone other than him is willing to partake in mass suicide.
Good article! BUT, I think you got the wrong name.
It’s not Putin — it’s BIDEN!
And it used to be called the Daily Fail here.
“Donald Trump has sparked dementia concerns after he was spotted drinking water with two hands like a small child”

Soooo, Putin has dementia but Biden doesn’t. Interesting.
I’ll buy that Putin is ill but this is a bridge too far for me.
In my spook days, I attended an analyst’s course at Langley (I was not CIA; I worked for a military intel analytical center). One of the guest speakers was a member of the Langley team that attempted to analyze the health of foreign leaders. He cautioned that such assessments are little more than speculation, unless you have access to the doctors who treated the leader, medical records, or both. And of course, the potential for exaggeration or disinformation is always present.
Putin’s health appears to be declining, but I would avoid consigning him to a death pool. If I had a buck for every time Fidel Castro was supposedly at death’s door (before he finally expired), I’d be typing this from my beach house in Belize.
On the other hand, it would be interesting to know how foreign intelligence services assess Biden’s health. Guessing the Russians, Chinese, Israeli and European agencies see him as being in worse shape than Putin—and you don’t need a medical degree to see that.
Very good, informative read. Thanks
The Daily Mail is repeating the same vile, totally made up disinformation, lies and dirty tricks their predecessors spewed out in WW2.
Believe them at your peril.
With nukes. Wonderful.
It’s not unusual for folks with Parkinson’s to suffer cognitive decline (dementia) as a result of treatments with dopamine drugs. Additionally, any chemotherapy cancer treatments Putin has be getting can produce cognitive impairment. The docs won’t call it dementia. They refer to it as “brain fog.” Whatever, don’t doubt for a moment that Putin could be mentally impaired. I look for him to quietly go away for intensive post-op treatment...or to die. Hopefully, Russia will find a replacement who can find a way to save face while ending this war with Ukraine.
Foreign intelligence services watch our political leaders like a hawk. The dims/media are ignoring that fact.
Hugo Chavez’s health wasn’t declining as visibly as Putin’s but it was known he had a few procedures done in Cuba. Then suddenly one day he was gone (from late stage cancer). What was the spy community’s assessment of his health and prognosis until then ? I will guess not much more than what was known publicly.
“Probably” is the key word which means this is all made up with fancy pictures.
I thought KGB agents were taught to be paranoid.
Daily Mail is reporting this? Color me skeptical.
LOL! Galactic-sized inferiority complex on that helmsman.
