I believe to the extent that Ukraine is achieving “high-five” moments, they are the result of the, shall we say, many intel resources of the US. This is seemingly a David vs Goliath war, but in reality it’s more like Goliath vs Goliath-by-proxy. Nothing is going to stop Russia from occupying a good bit if not all of the Black Sea Coast, plus obviously keep Crimea and standing up their Russia-friendly governments in the Donbass. Not saying I like it, just reality based on biased sources on both sides, not sure how big a grain of salt is required to believe either side’s propoganda.

Russia has hypersonic long-range missiles, the latest being the Sarmat, meaning “eternal”, which is a hypersonic intercontinental ballistic missile, weighing 100 tons (the US biggest is the minute man weighing 35 tons) with a range of 18,000 km.
This allows it to carry up to 15 nuclear warheads, up to 75kt. In comparison the bomb we dropped on Hiroshima was 15kt.
Such capacity would be able to destroy an area as large as the country of France.
And all of this would go undetected, as we have no defense for such a missile.
Now, tell me again how we have nothing to fear from a sad little country.
No reason for Russia to take a pause and give Europe more time to send in heavy weapons.
Besides, Ukraine already had its holiday on 4/20.
