But the Battle of Kyiv has revealed a great deal about why Ukraine has done so much better in the war than many analysts predicted. How and why Ukrainian forces outperformed expectations is perhaps the most important story of this war. Yes. There is a dearth of any real information.
Whenever this ends, Russia will be the victor, regardless of the cost to their forces. If Putin thinks it’s necessary to employ tactical nukes in Ukraine to prevail, he will. If he does, not response by the West other than words from the chattering class, as he will threaten more escalation. His nuke threats are his ticket to take the Baltics, Poland or any other former Warsaw Pact territory. If the Ukrainians persist in their resistance, he’ll nuke them to end it much as we did to Japan in WWII.
They will never use even a small nuke to win this war. If they did, they would indeed be a pariah nation, even to China and India. Only if they had a nuke attack against them or an imminent general invasion of “The Rodina” would they cross that threshold. This will hopefully end soon, and the Easter Bunny will whisper in Bidone’s ear to stop pissing away American money and take care of things at home.
