No they haven’t. Both tanks and capital ships have their purpose and place in the modern battlefield.
But they aren’t placed by themselves.
Look at American aircraft carrier groups. These not only have an aircraft carrier but destroyers, frigates, aircraft and submarines. It can take on anything.

Biggest enemy a carrier has is over it or under it. That’s why they sortie with screening ships. But if they kick it the the arse screening vessels are gone. They can’t keep up. It’s why they move in battle groups. Planning and coordination is the key. The Radioman and medic don’t walk point or drag on infantry patrol. It is what it is. Regards.

The trick to not getting bagged by shore defenses is not to get within range. Getting roped into resupply mission convoys is kind of risky for a flagship. You’d think they’d have low value coast guard corvettes and missile boats for that. The Black Sea is said to be pretty calm.
