Yes, quite right. I support DeSantis. It is just that my support of DeSantis does not diminish Trump as my default choice, and I don’t feel the need to smear DeSantis when I say good things about Trump.

Yes. They went to Marco long ago, and convinced him he could be the (self-appointed) new leader of Latinos. He bought it, hook, line, and sinker. He’s a good giy overall, but his weakness is his vanity. Butter him up, tell him he’s a Leader, and you got him.
And Chamber of Commerce cash is still real. As is Big Sugar and Big Citrus. Together they contribute a lot to his funds, directly and indirectly.

Well said. And believe me, we don’t want to lose him. Like the Presidency, it takes 2 full terms to implement lasting, long term change. He’s just now truly hitting his stride. Another term, and Florida will have to put up walls to keep people out.
We need a few more permanent changes before we lose a leader like him. He’s once-in-a-lifetime. And besides, his example has bled over to a dozen other states. So he’s changing the country for the better, right from here.

I am Ok with his primary choice in PA as well. Like Ronald Reagan said, he votes for a republican most likely to win in general. Dr OZ has best chance in PA to defeat the democrat.

DeSantis is young, 2028 not too late for him at all. He needs more national recognition first. May be keynote speaker at GOP convention? Although Trump is overwhelming choice of republicans in 2024, I am thinking he will not put himself through the long slog of campaign again in 2024. He is already established king maker in GOP. His endorsement has huge advantage in primaries and general.
If Trump is the nominee in 2024, I will crawl through broken glass to pull the lever for him.
